Since the start of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga, fans have been struggling with the new roles characters play in the series. While Boruto is clearly the protagonist, fans have been left confused over the other roles.
The most confusing role in the series is that of the antagonist. While it has been over a year since the manga began serialization, fans have yet to identify the main antagonist. Is it Kawaki, Code, Divine Trees, or someone else altogether?
That said, there is one role that has been confirmed recently. As per the manga creator, Masashi Kishimoto, Sarada Uchiha is the main female character of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.

Masashi Kishimoto confirms Sarada's role in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
As Naruto and Boruto fans must know by now, manga creators Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto recently made a stage appearance at a Kana event in France. During this event, both creators spoke extensively about both Naruto and Boruto manga. Unfortunately, fans worldwide had to wait sometime for the official interview pieces to get released online.
During the interview, Masashi Kishimoto shared some insights about the two series and what was different between the two in terms of characters and their respective roles in the series.
He shared that while he seemingly succeeded in writing Sasuke Uchiha as a deuteragonist, he failed to write and develop Sakura Haruno the way she deserved. She was essentially the main female character of Naruto, but Kishimoto had a tough time understanding a young woman's heart. Hence, he could not flesh out her character the way it should have been for a character as important as her.
The creator had previously also revealed that his failure to flesh out Sakura's character was also evident from the way he treated her backstory. The series never truly delved into her past or her parents, which was a clear indication that something was lacking in her story.
However, that wasn't the case for Sasuke and Sakura's daughter Sarada Uchiha. According to Masashi Kishimoto, Boruto manga creator Mikio Ikemoto had succeeded at portraying Sarada as the main female character in the Boruto manga.
Sarada is a much more fleshed-out character than Sakura. Not only do fans love how she is more self-reliant but also the fact that her relationship with her parents is something that has been depicted beautifully. Therefore, fans have a much better idea of Sarada's personality unlike in the case of Sakura.
However, Mikio Ikemoto's success in handling Sarada wasn't just limited to her personality and story but also her character design. As per Masashi Kishimoto, Sarada was one of the best in the series at the "graphic level." So, yes, no matter what role in the series fans are confused about, one thing is for certain, Sarada Uchiha is the main female character of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.
