My Hero Academia manga series concluded a while ago, and the fandom of the series is still discussing over how was the real MVP of the final war was. Where a part of the fandom considers heroes like Bakugo and others the true MVPs, the majority is adamant about Midoriya and All Might being the real MVPs, with more bias towards the former.

However, the real MVP of the series could be one of the vestiges of One for All whose suggestion became the basis for the defeat of Shigaraki, and that was the second vestige of Kubo. He gave the plan to let One for All infiltrate the antagonist, which worked wonders, and things could have turned entirely differently if this plan didn't exist in the first place.

After an intense match against All for One's body that was getting younger by the second, Katsuki Bakugo became the reason behind the demon lord's demise, which also set free Shigaraki. However, Shigaraki was still adamant about destroying the hero society, which Midoriya couldn't let happen, so their fight continued.

However, now with his full consciousness, Shigaraki got the upper hand in battle and stole Danger Sense (the fourth vestige) from Deku. Now, Izuku had to be careful against Shigaraki who was out for blood. Unfortunately, Nana Shimura also gave up, as she declared Shigaraki as an unbeatable foe who Deku couldn't turn to a new page.

However, Deku was adamant that he would reach Shigaraki by beating him continuously. Kubo (the second vestige) also joined the conversation and stated that he never wanted Izuku to inherit One for All because of the protagonist's naive thinking. Kubo's attention was diverted when Star and Stripe's vestige pointed at Shigaraki's wrapped core.

This was the moment when Kubo told Midoriya to part ways with One for All. As controversial as this statement may be, the true meaning behind it was to use One for All as a way of fighting Shigaraki from the inside because his core had a single crack in it, which could be shattered from the inside using One for All's vestigae.

Although it was a gamble, that did wonders because it brought Izuku into Shigaraki's past and led to the conclusion of the final war through the demise of both All for One and Shigaraki. Things could have turned out differently if Deku had continued charging blows at Shigaraki because it would have resulted in the protagonist running out of energy.

Moreover, after the protagonist had run out of energy, Shigaraki could have used Decay and shattered the entire city, resulting in the Hero Society's demise.

Although nothing can be said about whether All for One's vestige couldn't have awakened in this case, the result of the final war of My Hero Academia could have been different without Kubo's plan to beat Shigaraki.

His plan not only allowed Deku to use his Meta quirk much more efficiently to reach the antagonist, but it also hit Shigaraki at his weak point, which resulted in the awakening of a broken All for One who wanted his brother back. That eventually led to the finale of the final war with the victory of the Hero Society.
