The current state of Jujutsu Kaisen looks quite unfavorable for antagonist Ryomen Sukuna. He has proven to be a menace, pulling a rabbit out of his hat every time Team Jujutsu High threw something at him in the hopes of winning this long-drawn battle.
However, what he didn't expect was Yuji Itadori achieving the pinnacle of Jujutsu, i.e., Domain Expansion. As revealed in the latest chapter, despite being a hastily constructed domain, it exhibited properties that were impressive for a first-timer.
With fans on the edge of their seats, a look at a certain theory suggests that creator Gege Akutami has already foreshadowed Sukuna's fate. This theory links the present scenario to Toji Fushiguro's final breath during his second bout with Gojo Satoru.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Toji's final moments might have hinted at Sukuna's fate
For context, we must first refer to the parallel between Toji and Gojo. Toji was caught completely off-guard by an awakened Gojo who fired off his first-ever Hollow Purple, blowing a hole through the former's body. Next, Gojo fought Sukuna in a battle of the century, but he was caught off guard by an unexpected slash by the King of Curses. The parallel is that both characters (Toji and Gojo) died standing, caught by a sudden attack.
Moreover, Gojo was clad in an outfit that was very similar to Toji's. While there are reasons why he wore such clothes, it might also be a hint by Akutami about how Gojo would die. In a similar manner, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 265 showcases Sukuna foaming at the mouth, declaring that he will slaughter Yuji and everyone he values.
This kind of anger from Sukuna is a little unfamiliar, as he usually displays a calm, "I am the superior being" demeanor. Further, this is reminiscent of Toji, who became enraged for the first time when he fought an awakened Gojo.
To create further parallels, Sukuna has previously disregarded Yuji's attacks (throwing out a counter somehow) as Toji did to Gojo. Then, as seen in chapter 265, Sukuna declares his intention to end Yuji and his loved ones. Toji did the same by declaring that Gojo "die" as he attacked from afar through the Inverted Spear of Heaven attached to a chain.
In the Toji vs Gojo fight, the latter won thanks to his first Hollow Purple. Given Akutami's habit of foreshadowing, linking, and throwbacks, this sequence with Yuji and Sukuna parallels Gojo and Toji. So, Sukuna might engage with Yuji in another fight.
However, Yuji is prepared this time, and he might retaliate with something completely unexpected that finishes Sukuna off for good. So, it can be put forward that Akutami might have foreshadowed the fate of the two Strongest Sorcerers through the Sorcerer Killer - Gojo dies the same way Toji died, Sukuna dies the same way Gojo died, i.e., through an unexpected attack/move.
Final thoughts
This is yet another intriguing Jujutsu Kaisen theory that has surfaced and is making waves. Akutami's expert storytelling and ability to create mind-bending twists and unexpected links sets him apart, and this series is a testament to exactly that.
As is known, Toji Fushiguro was an exception to Jujutsu society, "breaking the chains of fate" and was one to cause serious harm to Gojo. Next, Gojo was one of the few who made Sukuna sweat, but he died in an unfortunate manner. Given how the two deaths were similar, it won't be uncanny if the cycle repeats and Sukuna soon bites the dust in the same way.
