Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1 — Lu Guang returns to the beginning to save Cheng Xiaoshi and others

Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1, titled So The Flow of Time Begins Again, came out on Friday, December 27, 2024. The episode witnessed Lu Guang returning to the point where he met Cheng Xiaoshi for the first time.

The episode shockingly revealed that not only Cheng Xiaoshi but also Qiao Ling had died post the events of season. Endowed with the knowledge of the past, Lu Guang embarked on his mission for the 9th time to save the ones dear to him.

Besides showcasing Lu Guang's efforts to ensure Cheng Xiaoshi deviates from his destiny, Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1 featured two intriguing narratives. Undoubtedly, the one-hour-long premiere episode has set the stage for the rest of the season.

Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1: Lu Guang time travels to the beginning to redo it all

Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1 begins with Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang playing basketball on the court. They score a point with their perfect teamwork, built on trust. The opening sequence switches to a dark and foreboding scene, where a red-haired man with a gun attacks Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang at the Time Photo Booth.

Lu tries to fight back against the mysterious man (appears to be Vein from the cast) but fails to do so. The red-haired man points the gun at Lu Guang and is ready to fire. However, Cheng Xiaoshi jumps forward to take the bullet for his friend.

Although he is shot, Cheng demonstrates his quick reflexes to fight the man. Eventually, they manage to hide in the booth's red room. Cheng Xiaoshi, who has lost a lot of blood falls to the ground. Lu Guang can only witness the scene as he stares at the blood on his hands.

With his dying breath, Cheng Xiaoshi urges his friend to save "them." Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1 then shows a series of frames, confirming the death of Cheng Xiaoshi, Qiao Ling, and others at the Time Photo Booth. As Cheng's powers are transferred to Lu, he returns back in time to the point where he meets his friend for the first time.

According to Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1, Lu Guang met Cheng Xiaoshi for the first time at a basketball court. Cheng mistakenly passes the ball to Lu, who doesn't pay enough attention and gets hit on the head. Cheng apologizes to the white-haired boy and later urges him to play the game as his partner.

Meanwhile, Lu Guang wonders whether the ripples of the past can truly change the future. According to Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1, Lu has gone back in time plenty of times to change his destiny. However, he hasn't been successful in evading his friend's death.

Following a monologue from Lu, explaining how Time Travel works, Link: Click Bridon Arc episode 1 switches to a scene, featuring Lu, Cheng, and Qiao Ling at the Time Photo Booth. Qiao urges Cheng to click some photos of her Anime Club's main coser.

Cheng hesitates at first. However, he wonders whether the Coser is a beautiful girl. However, he is disillusioned to discover that the Coser is none other than Lu Guang, who has recently joined the school's Anime Club. Qiao Ling praises Lu's "aloof expressions" which he compares to the solitary moon on the vast sky.

At any rate, the party goes to the main event, where Cheng Xiaoshi clicks a few pictures of Lu Guang. Meanwhile, Qiao Ling purchases an upgraded version of a game she used to play with Cheng in childhood. While returning from the shop, she notices a girl cosplaying the main character from the Ranxi Chronicles.

Just then in Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1, a perverted person tries to take inappropriate pictures of the girl. Qiao Ling steps in and hands over the man to the security. The Ranxi cosplayer thanks Qiao and leaves to get her photograph album signed by the Ranxi Chronicles' author at the event.

Meanwhile, after regrouping with Lu and Cheng, Qiao realizes she has accidentally taken the wrong bag. After inspecting the album, she realizes it belongs to the Ranxi cosplayer girl. Qiao Ling speculates their bags must have been switched earlier.

She returns to the spot to look for the girl. However, with so many girls cosplaying Ranxi, she feels lost at sea. Eventually, Lu Guang decides to help. He takes the album from Qiao and inspects a photograph. The white-haired boy then tells Cheng and Qiao that he will perform Divination.

As per Lu Guang's instructions, Cheng Xiaoshi and Qiao face back to back. Lu then tells Cheng to think about the girl. Link: Click Bridon Arc episode 1 then shows Lu Guang demonstrating his powers to find the girl in the past. Meanwhile, the girl, whose name is Miaomiao, is heartbroken to discover her album is missing.

Following that, the episode reveals Miaomiao's backstory. According to Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1, Miaomiao's mother regulated her life in such a manner that she could say nothing. The girl almost lost track of herself and buried her dreams.

Yet, one day, she came across a comic called Ranxi Chronicles. The art and the story influenced Miaomiao to become a comic artist. Even though her mother forbade Miaomiao to pursue her hobbies as her job, she couldn't listen.

Following the backstory, the episode shows Qiao, Cheng, and Lu returning Miaomiao's album to her. She quickly goes to the Ranxi Chronicles counter and shows her album to the author. Miaomiao also confesses how she developed a passion for comic art, thanks to Ranxi Chronicles.

The author recites one of her life experiences and advises Miaomiao to continue pursuing her dreams, no matter what kind of hardship awaits. Shortly after that, Miaomiao realizes she has forgotten to return Qiao Ling her own parcel.

Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1: Cheng Xiaoshi becomes Vivian's Zhou Xun

After the Anime Club's events, Lu Guang, Cheng Xiaoshi, and Qiao Ling return to the Time Photo Booth. Just then in Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1, Zhou Xun enters the booth. When Lu doesn't recognize him, Zhou says that he observed his game at the basketball court.

Following that, Zhou hands over a parcel to Qiao, mentioning how he found it from an online post from her cousin. After reading the description, he realized it must be Qiao Ling's. Besides that, Zhou reveals another reason for his arrival. He asks them to lend him 500,000.

According to Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1, Zhou Xun has developed feelings for a girl he accidentally came into contact with. One day, he received a phone call from an unknown girl, who mistakenly called him. Since the girl was in distress, Zhou called back and learned how the girl's sister was ill.

The girl, whose name is Vivian, told Zhou how she worked overtime to pay for her sister's medications at the hospital. Before Zhou knew it, he developed feelings for the girl and aided her financially. Vivian also told Zhou about an investment scheme she was using to double her money.

The boy applied the trick and realized it was true. Everything was well, until Vivian called Zhou one night, explaining how her sister's condition had worsened. She wanted 500,000 from Zhou. After listening to Zhou's story, Qiao punches him and tells him that he has fallen into a scam.

However, Zhou refuses to believe. That's when Lu Guang uses his powers on some of the places Vivian visited. He learns that those pictures are fake. However, Zhou still doesn't want to believe it. Eventually, he calls Vivian and says he has arranged the money.

However, before that, he wants to meet her at a designated location. Cheng Xiaoshi feels he must help Zhou, so he wants to tag along. Interestingly, Cheng reaches the location first, while Zhou gets stuck in the traffic. Just then in Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1, Vivian arrives at the scene.

Lu Guang, who is connected to a phone call with Cheng Xiaoshi, instructs him on how to go about things. However, when Vivian asks Cheng whether he's Zhou Xun (she hasn't seen Zhou before), the boy says he is indeed Zhou. The duo goes inside the restaurant and chats for a while.

During their conversation, Vivian confesses that he is truly a scammer. However, she has developed feelings for Zhou. He feels their relationship will fail if they prolong it under false pretenses, so she breaks up with Zhou. Cheng feels he must do something.

Thus, even though Lu instructs him to get away from the location, he decides to walk Vivan to her home. Just then in Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1, an unidentified man hits Cheng Xiaoshi on the head to knock him unconscious. However, the perpetrator quickly realizes that he's not Zhou.

Therefore, they can't get hefty money from him. Vivian's boss hits her for her failure and tells her to fix things. She ties Cheng to a chair and wants him to cooperate with them if he doesn't want to die. Meanwhile, Vivian's superiors watch over them from a CCTV camera.

Just then, they observe Vivian attacking Cheng Xiaoshi. Vivian's boss reprimands her for causing further trouble. One of the perpetrators looks at Cheng and wonders whether he has died. At that moment, the doorbell rings. Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1 shows Lu Guang arriving at the scene to save Cheng Xiaoshi.

As the siren from the police van is heard outside, Vivian's boss realizes the girl has betrayed him. A flashback scene shows Vivian instructing Cheng Xiaoshi to contact the police after leaving. She wanted to escape from the cycle of wrongdoings herself.

Although Vivian saves Cheng, she isn't able to save her own life. Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1 shows one of the scammers plunging a knife into her back. As she bleeds, she recalls how she was forced to become a scammer following a series of unfortunate incidents.

Eventually, the police catch Vivian's boss and his subordinate. Back at Qiao Ling's residence, Cheng Xiaoshi regrets not being able to save Vivian. He recalls the incident and wonders how Lu Guang knew he (Cheng) was about to be hit on the head. Lu Guang then shows Cheng a photograph Vivian clicked yesterday.

According to Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1, if a photograph is clicked twelve hours earlier, Lu can use it to predict what happens in the next twelve hours. Cheng Xiaoshi is impressed by Lu's powers. During their conversation, Cheng fears Lu will disappear one day as his close ones did.

However, Lu promises him that he won't ever disappear. After the ending credits, Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1 shows Cheng Xiaoshi coming across a photo in an envelope while looking for some clothes.

Interestingly, the envelope is addressed to Cheng Weimin, Cheng Xiaoshi's father. Elsewhere, Liu Xiao is seen talking to someone on the phone. Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1 ends with Liu Xiao saying he can finally start the game.

Link Click: Bridon Arc episode 1 has nicely set the stage with a cryptic ending, leaving fans guessing about Liu Xiao's motives. It also remains to be seen how the red-haired man comes into Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang's life.

Besides a captivating narrative, the premiere episode featured intense actions. It remains to be seen whether or not CMC Media can keep up the quality of the episode.
