One Piece chapter 1131 is set to be released on November 11, 2024, but the spoilers for the chapter have already been unveiled. The chapter revealed Loki's bounty and a few other things about Elbaph's prince, hinting that he might be a bigger menace than the fandom had thought. However, this statement has a bigger meaning than it sounds.

First and foremost, his bounty was titled 'special', meaning it might have a bigger meaning. Moreover, his bounty being bigger than Dorry and Brogy and close to some Emperors of the Sea also hints that his acts in the past might be heinous, considering how the bounty system is based on the catastrophic level of a pirate, not their overall skills.

One Piece chapter 1131 revealed Loki's baffling 2.6 billion Beri bounty while he continued his talk with Monkey D Luffy. Moreover, this bounty was titled a 'special bounty.' Although the chapter also put light on some other scenarios, this bounty reveals the spotlight for the fandom. Where the fandom only found this reveal amazing, there could be more to it than what meets the eye.

As revealed a few chapters ago, Dorry and Brogy updated their bounties to 1.8 billion beri for each. This was due to their status as legendary giants and, more specifically, due to their input in the recent Egghead incident where they helped the Straw Hat Pirates escape the island.

As Loki's bounty was even higher than those of these two, this could indicate Loki's questionable past. Secondly, Loki's bounty was more-or-less the same as the bounties of current Emperors Monkey D Luffy and Buggy the Clown (3 billion Beri), adding to the character's questionable relationship with the World Government.

Lastly, as revealed in One Piece chapter 1131, Loki's bounty was titled a special one, meaning that it could be bound to some conditions by the World Government. This could be related to the character's past deeds or, more importantly, his silhouette, which showcased a completely different.

The special bounty might apply to his current persona, the colossal one, and might differ from the one revealed in his silhouette. Moreover, this also might be related to his legendary devil fruit and his acts in the past, which got him the title 'The Accursed Prince.'

Analysis and final thoughts

The bounty system of One Piece evaluates a character solely based on their position in an act, not because of their overall potential as a danger to the world. The prime example of this case is Buggy the Clown, who doesn't possess any kind of Haki or destructive power but still has a whopping 3 billion Beri bounty.

In the past, Loki might have been involved (actively or inactively) in a heinous act that got him a bounty close to the current Emperors of the Sea. While his legendary devil fruit adds to his mysterious 'special bounty,' the overall reason why he has such a prize on his head remains a mystery. Fans are advised to wait for the chapter's raw scans (or the official release).
