One Piece chapter 1130 revealed many things, including Loki's appearance, his relative power compared to the giants and his current status within the country. Although Loki introduced himself as the 'Sun God' who will destroy the world, nothing else surrounding this claim was revealed.

Given Loki's origin 63 years ago from the current story, which coincides with Mother Caramel and a young Big Mom during a time when Mother Caramel's actions were perceived as miracles by the giants, it suggests that Loki's status as the Sun God might be the result of a superstition within the giants.

Loki was born in Elbaf 63 years ago, coinciding with the presence of Big Mom and Mother Caramel on the island. This timing aligned with the Winter Solstice Festival, a deeply significant tradition in Elbaf that symbolizes the death and rebirth of the sun.

As part of the ritual, the giants partake in a feast of semla and fast for 12 days in reverence to the sun's cycle. During this festival, Charlotte Linlin, known as Big Mom, experienced one of her hunger pangs, leading to a devastating rampage. In her fury, she destroyed an entire village, resulting in the death of Jorul, a legendary hero among the giants.

It was also during this Winter Solstice that Mother Caramel, who had been revered by the giants for her supposed miracles, performed another extraordinary act. Caramel created a sun, which the giants believed to be a divine event.

They perceived that as her summoning the actual Sun God from their myths, a powerful figure central to Elbaf’s religious traditions. The event deeply impressed the giants, who connected it to the rebirth of the Sun God, an idea rooted in their mythology. It's possible that Loki, born under the northern lights during the same Winter Solstice Festival, became the subject of superstition.

The northern lights, which appeared as brilliant, colorful streaks in the sky, bear a strong resemblance to the mythical Bifrost, the rainbow bridge that, in Norse mythology, connects the realm of gods to the world of humans. In modern depictions, the Bifrost is often compared with the aurora, symbolizing a celestial bridge between worlds.

Loki's birth during such an auspicious event could have led the giants to believe that he was the rebirth of the Sun God or some other divine figure within their mythos.

It's possible that the influence of events, the sun created by Mother Caramel, Loki’s birth under the northern lights and the tragic death of Jorul fueled the belief that Loki was destined for something extraordinary.

Whether this belief was based on superstition or rooted in an ancient prophecy, it shaped Loki's perceived identity. Alternatively, it's possible that Loki's belief in himself as the Sun God is the result of personal delusions or a myth he encountered later in life. Another possibility is that Loki’s title of Sun God stems from the legenday devil fruit he acquired.
