As of this article’s writing, HIDIVE is the only official platform set to stream the anime series internationally with English subtitles as it airs weekly in Japan. While it’s possible the series is eventually added to another platform, this likely won’t happen until the first season’s broadcast has fully ended. It’s unclear as of this article’s writing whether or not HIDIVE is intending to produce any alternate language dubs for the series.

Loner Life in Another World episode 1 began by introducing a hooded teenage boy tricking a pack of goblins into falling for his trap. A flashback revealed he was named simply Haruka, and was a loner in high school by choice according to him. He and his class are then summoned to another world without warning. Upon arrival, everyone gets a great skill but him, resulting in him being granted all of the leftover and seemingly useless skills at once.

Haruka then appeared in the new world by himself, being given a bottomless bag with basic provisions and gear. He ended up maxing out his luck stat with average numbers in every other major category. As he explored throughout the day, he leveled up and gained new skills, but would still be in danger if he encountered any monsters. The next day, he continued setting up his shelter in a camp while continuously being impressed by the skills he had.

He then ran into two goblins, defeating both fairly easily. This victory let him level up and gave him significant stat and skill upgrades as a result. He continued fighting goblins to train the next day while avoiding large groups of enemies and training his magic at night. He also began hunting for food after getting sick of eating mushrooms. The episode ended with him foregoing a chance to reunite with his classmates, committing to his loner status even in this new world.

Loner Life in Another World episode 2 will likely open up with a continued focus on Haruka as he’s closed in on by his fellow classmates. He should find a way to narrowly escape them, with only the character known so far as Class Rep likely to notice his presence as he flees.

From here, it’s likely that the second episode leads into the scene which played out at episode 1’s start. This would make sense as a means of further solidifying Haruka’s choice to be a loner, proving that he can survive by himself in this new strange fantasy world.
