In the previous episode, Rumi and Jun concluded their conversation, both feeling better afterward. Jun confessed that he had moved on from Naori when he realized he had been competing with her in activities like reading more books, which Naori was unaware of. Eventually, he got into a relationship with Rumi and developed feelings for her.

Later, Jun caught up with Naori, who asked him out on a date. They met up early the following Sunday, and Jun was struck by how beautiful Naori looked. They went to Marine Park, where Naori watched the creatures through a glass wall while Jun recalled his date with Rumi at the same spot.

Naori noticed this and suggested they check out the exhibits together, which Jun thought was a good idea. One of the attractions was a preserved frilled shark that visitors could touch, though it smelled unpleasant due to the ammonia.

In the evening, they went on the Ferris wheel where Naori shared how much had changed and confessed she had loved Jun for a long time. Despite doing well in most school tests, she realized how much she meant to Jun from his reaction on the rare occasions when he did better than her.

However, Naori admitted she was too childish and cowardly to express her feelings. She made a silly bet with herself to not double-check her answers during tests. The idea was that she would only confess if she managed to beat Jun following the method. Meanwhile, poor Jun also struggled to find the courage to confess his feelings.

Meanwhile, Reira asked Rumi if she had finally got over Jun. She said that holding back is a bad idea and that Rumi should try to get back with him. They also talked about Reira's own problems before going home because it was getting dark. A flashback showed Rumi and Jun heading to the Ferris wheel as it got dark, but it looked like they did not end up riding it.

The episode ended with Naori and Jun in his room, discussing movies and books. They shared a kiss, but Jun, thinking of Rumi, apologized and said he did not want to continue. Then Naori said that from her perspective they were not really dating.

In Love Is Indivisible by Twins episode 5, it looks like Naori will break up with Jun. This is likely due to Jun's preoccupation with the memories of his time with Rumi. In fact, he has been open with Rumi about how he is still hung up on her. But this is purely speculative and viewers will have to wait and see what happens in the next episode to know for sure.
