Madara could have either been Boruto's bunny or his nemesis and there's no in-between

Boruto Uzumaki is one of the strongest Shonen protagonists given the strength he achieved after the timeskip. However, does he have the capability to rival some of the strongest antagonists? Although he could be the strongest one in the Two Blue Vortex manga series, his potential against the antagonists from Naruto might be debatable.

Madara Uchiha is the fan-favorite antagonist from Naruto and, arguably, the strongest one too. The protagonist's chances against him might be 50-50 in a very specific way. In base Madara (with his Sharingan), the antagonist stands no chance against the protagonist (based on brute strength). However, against Sage of the Six Paths Madara, the protagonist might stand defeated in any scenario.

Exploring the versus battle between Boruto Uzumaki and Madara Uchiha

Boruto Uzumaki is the main protagonist of his franchise and the person who was betrayed by his village after the Omnipotence Incident. After leaving the village, the protagonist trained under Sasuke Uchiha, and the latter taught him everything he knew so that he could achieve what he wanted.

Unfortunately, Sasuke was transformed into a chakra tree and the protagonist had to continue his journey alone. He then returned to the village and saved them from Code and Claw Grimes while also showcasing his strength. He had mastered the Flying Raijin Jutsu, developed the Rasengan Uzuhiko, and had become a proper shinobi against whom no one stood a chance.

With the protagonist now a powerhouse, what ground does he stand against the strongest Uchiha antagonist, Madara Uchiha? Madara Uchiha is one of the main antagonists from Naruto and also the one whom the fandom speculated to be the final one (as it was Kaguya Otsutsuki).

Madara's hunger for power made him resort to immortal ways, and he prolonged his life until he found Obito to be someone who would carry out his name until the antagonist's rebirth. After getting reborn, Madara Uchiha started executing his plan and betrayed Obito, finally achieving the Sage of the Six Paths chakra.

In his base form, the protagonist might win considering how the time skip training was enough for Boruto to overpower antagonists like Code who is a master of ninjutsu and taijutsu. Even with Madara's Mangekyou Sharingan and Susanoo, the protagonist stands at the upper ground.

However, against the Sage of the Six Paths, the tides might see a total shift. The Sage of the Six Paths Madara also possessed the Rinnesharingan, a dojutsu that could beat the protagonist's Jougan in any scenario. Moreover, based on brute strength and ninjutsu techniques, the protagonist might never beat the Naruto antagonist.

Final Thoughts

Power scalings are also speculative considering how the fans have to handpick powerups and imagine two characters fighting in a fantastical scenario. Where Madara is one of the strongest characters from Boruto, his base form beating Boruto might never be a possibility. However, as stated, things might turn out differently in his Sage of the Six Paths form.
