The Toguro brothers, Elder and Younger, pose the greatest challenge to Yusuke Urameshi and his allies. Elder Toguro, once a martial arts devotee, transforms after winning the Dark Tournament, abandoning honor for immortality and relishing in inflicting harm. Despite being mentioned in the group above, Shinobu Sensui’s power and desire to change the world he deemed was wrong deserves its own section. He is Yu Yu Hakusho’s equivalent of the chosen one, born with immense spiritual power that made him a target for constant demon attacks. He was eventually recruited as a Spirit Detective, excelling in the role until witnessing the horrific Black Black Club’s Feast of Human Vices shattered his sanity. This event led Sensui to seek the creation of a passage from the Demon World to the Human World.

Despite Yusuke's efforts to thwart him, Sensui's overwhelming power proved too much. An S-Class human, Sensui mastered Resshuken, an unparalleled martial art, and wielded Sacred Energy Armor, allowing him to outmatch Yusuke, Hiei, Kurama, and Kuwabara. Sensui is portrayed as the series' strongest villain, with his power only eclipsed by the Demon World's elite, who deem the Human World unworthy of their attention.
