Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines synopsis
The anime is a rom-com series centered around Kazuhiko Nukumiu, the male protagonist. One day, on a regular school day, the male protagonist witnessed Anna Yanami, one of the prettiest girls in the school, get rejected by a boy. After getting rejected, she stumbled upon Kazuhiko.
Unconsciously, she started telling him about her love story and how she and the boy who rejected her, Anna, were supposed to get married. Upon Kazuhiko's asking, Anna told him they made this promise when they were 5 years old, thus assuring the male protagonist that the boy wasn't serious about her.
Unfortunately, this wasn't the only heroine Kazuhiko witnessed getting rejected. Lemon Yakishio, the ace of the track and field club, and Chika Komari, the bookworm of the literature club, faced the same fate and were rejected in their years-long relationships.
In all this, Kazuhiko is stuck with three beautiful heroines who have lost in their fight for love. However, when the heroines recover from rejection, some feelings might emerge in the male protagonist for the losing heroines. Are these feelings out of pity or something else?
