With the end of Jujutsu Kaisen manga inching closer, fans cannot wait for the Shinjuku Showdown Arc to be animated soon. This is because the story arc features the battle between the strongest sorcerer in history and the strongest sorcerer of today.

The hype for the same has been so over-the-top that one Jujutsu Kaisen fan animated the fight's beginning. With the fan animation, the fan depicted the events that took place in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 223. As one could expect, fans loved it and wished for animation studio MAPPA to try and top it.

Jujutsu Kaisen fam animation brings Gojo's 200% Hollow Purple to life

On Thursday, September 12, 2024, one Jujutsu Kaisen fan @NES_BANANA posted their fan animation of Satoru Gojo's 200% Hollow Purple on Ryomen Sukuna at the start of the Shinjuku Showdown.

As per NES_BANANA, the fan animation took them several months to complete. It has over 3500 frames and follows MAPPA's animation style.

This fan animation basically depicted the events that took place in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 223. Satoru Gojo and Ryomen Sukuna were meant to fight each other on December 24. However, they had never decided on a location to meet. As Sukuna and Uraume waited for a sign that denoted the meetup location, Satoru Gojo alongside Ijichi, Utahime, and Gakuganji prepared for the fight's first move.

The fan animation depicted Utahime using her innate technique, Solo Forbidden Area to amplify Satoru Gojo's total cursed energy capacity. On top of that, Gakuganji's music boosted the technique's potency to 120%.

As for Satoru Gojo, his Hollow Purple reached 200%. Hence, he launched the same towards the King of Curses. Fortunately, due to Ijichi's barrier, Sukuna only noticed immense output at the last moment.

With that, the two combatants met each other, with Gojo declaring Sukuna as the challenger in the fight.

How fans reacted to the fan animation

Anime fans were impressed by the fan animation as they were certain that MAPPA would not be able to top this. While the animation was on point and true to the source material, one fan especially loved the music choice for the background as it set the vibe for the fight accurately.

"when judas started playing i realized mappa could not top this," one fan said.

"This made my day, good job bro. You cooked like Gordon Ramsay," another added.

"Your Hollow purple animation was on point," another fan said.

"omg the effort and talent poured to this. you did so amazingly good," other fan said.

Fans only had good things to say about the animation and the animator as it was very evident how much effort was poured into the video. The 200% Hollow Purple animation was perfect and was done just the way MAPPA would have done it, had they already animated the story arc.
