Mayonaka Punch episode 1 will be released on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 10:30 pm JST. It will be available to watch on Tokyo MX and AT-X. Following that, it will also be available to watch on BS11, KBS, and other networks. International fans looking to stream the anime can do so through Crunchyroll.

Mayonaka Punch is an upcoming original anime series animated by P.A. Works and produced by Kadokawa Corporation. In addition to the TV series, a manga and a light novel are also in the works. The former is being illustrated by Tomomi Usui, who is known for his work on Kami to Yobareta Otaku and Rule: Shoumetsu Kyoushitsu. The light novel is being written by Tsuzuro Hibi and illustrated by Tsukasa Kotobuki.

What to expect from Mayonaka Punch?

Mayonaka Punch will follow Masaki, who is a member of the Harakiri Sisters, a group that has gained popularity on NewTube, a renowned video sharing platform. However, her association with the group will be short-lived as she will be expelled following a live event that sparks controversy and attracts negative feedback from the online community.

Undeterred by this setback, Masaki will embark on a journey to rebuild her career, aiming to gain one million subscribers on her channel Mayonaka Punch. Along the way, she will encounter an exceptional individual, leading to an unforeseen agreement that will potentially change her life.

Based on the previews, in Mayonaka Punch episode 1, viewers will be introduced to Masaki's new friend, a vampire named Live.

Mayonaka Punch is all set to feature voice actors Fairouz Ali as Live, Ikumi Hasegawa as Masaki, Ai Kayano as Yuki, Hina Yomiya as Fu, Hitomi Ueda as Tokage, and Yuina Ito as Ichiko. Voice actors Chika Anzai and Reina Kondo are also set to voice the characters Kikka and Otomi respectively. Viewers will be introduced to at least some of them in Mayonaka Punch episode 1.

Directed by Shu Honma, the anime is being produced by P.A. Works. The series composition is done by Hideaki Shirasaka and the original character design is by Tsukasa Kotobuki while the art direction is by Yuki Maeda and art setting is by Yūta Fujii. Kayoko Nabeta is credited as the main animator with Masami Gohda, Ryota Arima, and Sanae Sato serving as the chief animation directors.

Other staff members include Ayumu Takahashi as editor, Junya Kodama as photography director, and Asami Eguchi as color designer. The music production has been done by Heart Company with Satoki Iida serving as the sound director. Haramichan and John Kanda have worked on the theme song arrangement and composition while the theme song lyrics have been written by Yohei Matsui.

The theme songs Gimme Gimme and Henshuu-ten will be performed by the cast members.
