Medalist episode 2 recap
Medalist episode 2, titled Beginner Badge Test, commenced with Inori and Tsukasa doing their regular drills inside an ice rink. However, Inori was facing backlash from using her muscles. So, she kept going one step at a time. Sometime later, Tsukasa arrived and told her to participate in the upcoming Beginner Badge Test. So, they packed their stuff and were on their way to take the test.
After reaching the ice rink where the test was taking place, Inori got nervous and went outside to collect some worms. While collecting, she stumbled across another girl. After exchanging greetings, these two became fast friends. A male ice skater also arrived there and asked the other girl about some stuff. However, he berated Inori for being untalented.
The other girl slapped the boy for being rude, after which he left. Inori then returned to the ice rink to take the test. The test saw the participants utilize their upper body strength. As expected, inori did everything pretty easily and passed the test, winning the Beginner Test Badge. However, Inori's mother only allowed to continue ice skating until middle school.
The next day, Inori heard some girls berating her for being too old. However, the girl Inori befriended yesterday arrived and told her to ignore them. These two then jumped onto the ice rink and the other girl showcased her amazing skills. Inori tried imitating her but eventually failed. The other girl revealed her name, Hikaru, and these two became fast friends at the end of the day.
