As fans might remember, Jujutsu Kaisen's plot majorly revolved around two antagonists - Ryomen Sukuna and Kenjaku. While Sukuna is currently in a battle with Yuji Itadori and others, Kenjaku passed away some time ago in the manga after Yuta Okkotsu beheaded him following the villain's confrontation with Fumihiko Takaba.

However, before Kenjaku fully passed away, he stated that while he had been defeated, his will was set to pass on. Since then, the manga hasn't made much of a move toward the plotline surrounding the Merger except for Sukuna mentioning that he planned on merging humanity to have some fun fighting the entity that gets manifested.

However, as fans would remember, Tengen had essentially lost their body. This meant that they needed a Star Plasma Vessel for Sukuna to even attempt a Merger. With that in mind, there is a possibility that Megumi Fushiguro is the next Star Plasma Vessel.

While the Jujutsu Kaisen manga has yet to reveal the next Star Plasma Vessel after Riko Amanai, there is a hint left by the anime that suggests that Megumi could be the next Star Plasma Vessel. When Riko Amanai was shown as a child, a fish was shown swimming behind her. The same fish could be seen in the anime's first opening as it approached Yuji Itadori on the train.

With Yuji's Domain Expansion manifesting a train station, there is a chance that the manga could soon switch its focus from the fight against Sukuna to Kenjaku's plan for the Merger.

Following Kenjaku's death, the mini Tengen that he had ingested traveled to Sukuna. Sukuna ingested the same as Megumi Fushiguro had been given the authority to activate the merger of humankind.

With such a development, there lies a chance that Megumi Fushiguro will become the new Star Plasma Vessel and merge with Tengen. Following that, Sukuna could likely control Tengen and start humanity's merger. Such a development could see the King of Curses fulfill Kenjaku's long-awaited goal.

Additionally, it was also revealed by the manga that Six Eyes and Star Plasma Vessel appeared on the day of the merging. Thus, with Satoru Gojo, the Six Eyes user, being the one to find Megumi and raise him, it raises the question of whether Gojo knew about Megumi's potential to become Star Plasma Vessel.

That said, the development surrounding Humanity's Merger would seem incomplete without the presence of the person behind the plan, Kenjaku. Therefore, there is a chance that the antagonist will return to the series. This is because there is no way a character who survived eons through their Jujutsu could possibly pass away from a death scenario as underwhelming as a beheading.

Therefore, if Kenjaku somehow comes back through Gojo's body, there is a chance that he will activate humanity's merger.
