MF Ghost season 2 episode 1 recap
The previous episode began with Kanata speeding through the Ashinoko GT track. This was widely regarded as the most difficult track in MFG, with sections covered in volcanic ash that made the surface extremely slippery.
However, Kanata cleverly used these challenging conditions to his advantage. His strong drifting skills played a crucial role, allowing him to navigate the course effectively.
At one point, he reached seventh place. Despite this achievement, by the end of the day, after all the racers had completed their runs, his position had dropped to tenth. Nevertheless, considering his outstanding performance, especially as a newcomer to the racing scene, Kanata, along with Aiba and Ogata, decided to celebrate at a Japanese restaurant.
As usual, Kanata thoroughly enjoyed the meal. He also reflected on his mentor, Fujiwara, who had taught him essential driving techniques both in the academy and in personal training sessions outside of class.
The next day, Kanata and Ren made plans to visit Kamakura after work. Meanwhile, the final day of the MFG qualification round took place, and Beckenbauer was set to race. He held back for most of the race but managed to stay comfortably behind Sawatari's record. In the final moments, Beckenbauer accelerated and took the first position.
Sawatari, who was watching the race, remained unfazed by Beckenbauer's performance, as he did not see him as a significant competitor. However, he viewed Kanata as a genuine threat, impressed by how well Kanata performed with his less powerful Toyota 86.
What to expect from MF Ghost season 2 episode 2? (speculative)
Now that the qualifying round is complete and Kanata has advanced, MF Ghost season 2 episode 2 will likely focus on him competing in the Lake race alongside the top MFG racers. However, before the race, there could be some time spent showing Kanata and Ren enjoying a day out in Kamakura.
