MF Ghost season 2 episode 2 recap
In the previous episode, Kanata and Ren were seen exploring the city of Kamakura together. During their time there, Kanata shared that he had recently received his salary from his part-time job and wanted to use it to surprise the Saionji family with a special dinner as a gesture of gratitude. He asked for Ren’s help in finding a good restaurant for the occasion.
Next, they decided to visit a Japanese eatery and enjoyed a dish of shirasu don. As they were leaving the restaurant, the owner wished Kanata good luck for the upcoming Ashinoko GT race, which surprised him. He had not realized how popular he had become, although MFG had over thirty million subscribers.
On race day, Ogata appeared very concerned about the rain that was about to hit. Wet public roads can be extremely dangerous, but Kanata, as usual, remained calm and confident. He even remarked that the rain might give him an advantage.
The race started right in the middle of a downpour, and the conditions got even worse with water spray from the cars, which made things chaotic. Beckenbauer and Sawatari quickly took the lead, claiming the first and second positions.
The track became more tricky in the death zone, where volcanic ash made it extra slippery, even for the most experienced drivers. However, Kanata seemed unfazed, maintaining his usual driving style with impressive stability. As the race approached a downhill section, his speed only increased.
What to expect from MF Ghost season 2 episode 3 (speculative)
Based on what transpired in the previous episode, it seems that MF Ghost season 2 episode 3 is going to be focused on the downhill stretch. It is already a nail-biting race with the rain and slippery road, but it looks like Kanata has more tricks up his sleeve that are waiting to be revealed.
The episode will be titled The Relay String Yin-Yang.
