Jujutsu Kaisen is filled with characters, each with unique traits. Whether it be Gojo, with his prideful personality unwilling to submit to the strongest ones, or Itadori, who is kind to the worst of the worst like Sukuna, the series presented characters who were hard to hate. However, one character had an unrealistic role that the fandom accepted.
Miguel was the trainer of Yuta Okkotsu, but more importantly, he was part of Geto's squad in the past, which wanted to eliminate every human who couldn't utilize cursed energy. However, after the events of the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, Miguel was chosen as a caretaker for Gojo's most talented students, and the author didn't clarify why such a senseless act even happened.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Why Miguel's support didn't make any sense
Miguel Odoul is one of the supporting characters of Jujutsu Kaisen and one of the commanders of Geto Suguru's army, which wanted every human being who couldn't utilize the cursed energy dead to create a perfect society for sorcerers to thrive. Geto's army fought an all-out war against the sorcerers of Jujutsu Tech during the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.
During the battle, Geto fled to get Yuta on his side while the rest fought the sorcerers. Miguel was assigned to fight the strongest sorcerer of the present, Gojo Satoru, and as expected, their fight was dominated by Gojo. Although the battle's conclusion wasn't shown, it was presumed that Gojo won against Miguel.
Another outcome of this battle was Miguel being appointed as Yuta's instructor by Gojo Satoru. He took the special-grade sorcerer with him to his hometown, where Yuta nurtured his cursed technique. However, this choice didn't make sense because Miguel was part of a mass-murder group, making his choice as Yuta's instructor questionable.
Accepting killers for the sake of the plot
Jujutsu Kaisen slowly became a series that accepted antagonists as allies because the ultimate goal was to defeat evil. After the events of the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, Miguel reappeared in the fight against Sukuna, and his input was crucial to the defeat of the main antagonist.
Other than this, Choso was also accepted by the sorcerers as an ally after the Shibuya arc, ignoring the fact that he killed many people to defeat Itadori. As soon as he learned that Itadori was his brother, he allied with the sorcerers to fight Kenjaku.
Final thoughts
The concept of 'bad' and 'good' is pretty vague in the series, given how the power scaling of the series is a bad thing, cursed energy. Gojo might have accepted Migeul as Yuta's instructor because Miguel had the potential to become a good teacher. This philosophy extends to the core of the series: as long as a character is strong and willing to help, he gets accepted by the sorcerers.
