Mission: Yozakura Family episode 3 recap

Taiyo Asano wakes up from a nightmare and fears about Mutsumi's fate. He goes to Futaba and requests her to help him get stronger so that he can protect Mutsumi's life. The white-haired girl sternly tells him that it's not possible for a non-Yozakura to quickly attain powers.

She reveals that she had to train for three years to master Aikido and Jujitsu. Nevertheless, Taiyo persists and she finally agrees on one condition--he had to stay in the Yozakura mansion for one month and undergo mock training.

Apparently, the Yozakura mansion is filled with several spy-training traps. However, those can be disabled if a member clears every trap at least once. Thus begins Taiyo's torturous daily life at Yozakura's.

Although he wants to quit, his determination to protect his childhood friend keeps him going. At one point, however, Taiyo feels that he's weak.

However, Mutsumi reminds him about the time when he saved her from bullies at school. She assures Taiyo that he has been protecting her all the time. As such, Mutsumi requests him not to push hard.

Eventually, at three week's time, Taiyo clears almost every trap, except the bathroom lock. However, due to overexhaustion, he develops a fever and falls to the ground. Futaba learns that Kengo, Nanao, and others have been helping Taiyo to cover up his wounds.

When she admonishes them, the protagonist reveals that he was the one who begged them to help. Futaba then tells Taiyo Asano that if he wants to protect Mutsumi, he must protect himself first.

Instead of searching for shortcuts, he must show patience, which is also a vital part of the training.

Nevertheless, Futaba realizes that she underestimated Taiyo. She feels he's the perfect person to protect Mutsumi.

Finally, a month passes and the protagonist clears every test. His Cherry Blossom ring brightly flashes, signaling the house has accepted him as a family member.

The episode ends with Futaba congratulating Taiyo for successfully clearing every test. She informs him that he can now begin his actual training as a Yozakura.

Since the latest episode covered chapter 3 from Hitsuji Gondaira's original manga series, Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4 could cover the next chapter. In other words, the episode will likely introduce a new character to the mix.

Besides that, Mission: Yozakura Family episode 4 will reveal the fruits of Taiyo Asano's training. He will unintentionally showcase his newfound strength and gain a nick name of Ninja. Other than that, the episode may also contain some intriguing anime-only scenes.
