Mission: Yozakura Family episode 7 — Taiyo vows to restore the Yozakura family's name after a rare failure

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 7, titled Government Spies, was released on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 5 pm JST on MBS, TBS, and other local channels in Japan. The episode saw Taiyo Asano undergo a mission to rescue his younger brother, Nanao Yozakura.

However, he met a couple of government spies during the mission, who questioned his existence as a Yozakura member. Once again, Silver Link Studios combined action with comedy to produce a fascinating episode.

Not only did Mission: Yozakura Family episode 7 showcase Taiyo's spy skills at work but also emphasized his determination to restore his new family's name, which he tarnished.

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 7 begins with a blonde-haired boy named Oga asking his partner, Sui, to check Taiyo Asano's impressive wanted poster. However, Sui isn't interested because he only wants to get his missions done.

Following that, Mission: Yozakura Family episode 7 switches to the Yozakura mansion, where Taiyo Asano receives a phone call from Nanao. The young Yozakura informs the boy that he's on an undercover mission to retrieve a deadly bioweapon from a lab.

While he plans on digesting the weapon with his incredible immunity power, he knows that he will get sleepy after that. As such, he asks Taiyo to rescue him from the lab. After securing the address, the protagonist heads to the location and notices the lax security.

Suddenly, he meets the two gentlemen from the first scene, Oga and Sui. They introduce themselves as government spies from the Hinagiku organization. Unlike the Yozakuras, who run a private service, they work directly for the nation. Apparently, they are on a mission to neutralize the lab.

On Oga's insistence, Taiyo and the government spies begin to work together. However, as the boy reaches Nanao's location, he discovers that Sui and Oga plan on killing his younger brother. Taiyo becomes infuriated at them and decides to protect Nanao.

However, he gets brutally defeated by Sui's swift blade in Mission: Yozakura Family episode 7. Taiyo falls to the ground, with blood oozing from his wound. At that moment, Nanao manages to get up and informs Sui that he has successfully ingested the bioweapon. He even gives the spy a patch test as proof.

Seeing Nanao no longer a threat to the nation, Sui lets him go. He also gives the boy some ointment and bandages to save Taiyo.

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 7 shifts to the Yozakura mansion, where Kyoichiro puts Taiyo on a stake. He shows him a newspaper, where an article has been published, highlighting the Yozakura family's failure.

Kyoichiro reprimands him for not only tarnishing the family's name but also for the fact that one wrong move from him would have killed Nanao. At that moment, Mutsumi Yozakura and Nanao arrive and they scold Kyoichiro for being harsh on Taiyo.

Eventually, the ace spy tells the boy that if he wants to take responsibility for his actions, he has to defeat Hinagiku and restore the Yozakura family's status. Mission: Yozakura Family episode 7 explains the only way to win a spy war is to steal intel from the other.

Taiyo Asano begins to trail Sui Aoi from the Hinagiku. However, the spy's swift movement and methods make it difficult for him to catch up. He tries not only once, but multiple times to trail Sui and gather information from him.

However, every time, the boy's swift blade stops him from progressing. Nanao discovers Taiyo in bad shape at the Yozakura mansion and asks why he's pushing himself so hard. The boy tells him that he doesn't want to be someone who cannot even protect his younger brother.

At that moment, Nanao reminds Taiyo of his feats, which makes him cooler than anyone he knows. Suddenly, the boy gets an idea about how to tackle Sui's superhuman movements. He trails the spy for a whole day and arrives at a graveyard.

Sui admires Taiyo's resolve to go after him even after numerous failures. However, this is precisely why he plans on ending the farce. He swiftly charges at Taiyo with his blade to severely injure him. Surprisingly, the boy predicts his movement and stops the blade with his own hands.

According to Taiyo in Mission: Yozakura Family episode 7, he has figured out Sui's "habits" as a swordsman. He anticipated him going after the center of his chest and stopped it at the right time.

Oga, who was hiding, comes out to praise Taiyo Asano. Sui alters his perception of Taiyo, while Oga commends his feats.

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 7 ends light-heartedly, with Taiyo discovering his inappropriate image in the newspaper. While the article on how he was outclassed and defeated by Sui was forgotten, a new article on his embarrassing pictures surfaced.
