Mission: Yozakura Family Episode 7 recap

Taiyo Asano receives a phone call from his younger brother, Nanao Yozakura, who informs him that he's on an undercover mission to secure a life-threatening bioweapon. He says he plans on ingesting the bioweapon, but as a side effect, he will likely fall asleep.

As such, Nanao asks Taiyo to rescue him from the lab. The protagonist runs to the designated location and surprisingly finds the security lax. At that moment, he meets two men, Sui and Oga, who introduce themselves as government spies from the Hinagiku organization.

The spies inform Taiyo that they are on a mission to neutralize the lab. As such, Taiyo teams up with them to run past the remaining securities. However, once he reaches Nanao's location, Taiyo discovers Sui and Oga's plans to eliminate Nanao for the nation's safety.

Taiyo becomes furious and vows to protect Nanao. However, Sui easily overwhelms him with his swift blade. At that moment, Nanao wakes up and informs the spy that he has successfully ingested the bioweapon. He even gives him a patch test as a confirmation.

As such, Sui decides to spare Nanao and gives him an ointment to save Taiyo. Later at the Yozakura mansion, Kyoichiro puts the protagonist on a stake and tells him that an esteemed newspaper has published an article on Taiyo's failure.

According to the newspaper's content, the Yozakura family's goodwill is tarnished. Kyoichiro also reprimands him for putting Nanao's life in danger. He tells Taiyo that if he wants to redeem himself, he has to challenge the government spies in a spy war and secure intel from them.

Thus, Taiyo begins to trail on Sui. However, the spy's superhuman movement and swordsmanship leave him to dust. Yet eventually, he figures out the spy's habits to stop the sword from brutally injuring him. As a result, Sui changes his perception of Taiyo and acknowledges his resilience.
