Momoshiki's actual plan in Boruto could turn him into the next Black Zetsu

As Boruto fans might remember, Momoshiki Otsutsuki's plan for the longest time in the series was to take over the protagonist's body and get resurrected. He had implanted his Karma onto him to Otsutsufy his body and take over it later.

Unfortunately, this plan was later foiled by Kawaki as he killed Boruto to stop Momoshiki from taking over. This forced Momoshiki to use 18% of his remaining data to rewrite the protagonist's data, saving him at the cost of his resurrection.

So, does this mean that Momoshiki no longer plans on resurrecting himself? That is far from possible. Hence, one Boruto fan devised a theory, per which Momoshiki might end up being the next Black Zetsu.

Boruto fan theorizes Momoshiki taking over Jura by turning into the next Black Zetsu

According to a Boruto fan on Reddit u/kalai1995, Momoshiki Otsutsuki's final plan in the series could be to transfer his data into a sentient God Tree. As previously mentioned by Amado, he plans on obtaining Akebi Sanzu's data from Kawaki's Karma. While it cannot be confirmed whether Amado has ulterior motives or not, his plan means that it is possible to obtain Akebi's mind data from Isshiki Otsutsuki's Karma.

So, similarly, even though Momoshiki can no longer use his data to take over the protagonist, he could still be able to transfer part of his data onto another vessel. The only problem Momoshiki may have with this is to find someone compatible with his Karma and data.

However, this may not be the case for the sentient God Trees. As seen in the series, the sentient God Trees are manifested from the Thorn Soul Bulbs of people. Effectively, the God Trees themselves have no bodies and only replicate a body similar to the one from which they obtained their respective Thorn Soul Bulbs. With that in mind, compatibility may not be a problem as long as Momoshiki transfers his data onto a sentient God Tree.

While this may seem absurd, it does make sense. As analyzed by u/kalai1995, the Thorn Soul Bulbs are like hard drives that have the data of the person they are manifested from. Hence, if Momoshiki transfers his data onto it, he should be able to extract it and combine it with that of the data available within the Thorn Soul Bulb.

Considering that Jura is the leader of the God Trees, it only makes sense for the Otsutsuki to go after the Ten Tails' sentient version. So, if Momoshiki does use Jura to resurrect himself, he could effectively do what Black Zetsu did to Madara Uchiha. As fans might remember, after Madara turned into the Ten Tails' Jichuriki, Black Zetsu betrayed Madara and absorbed all the Chakra from the Shinobi to bring back Kaguya Otsutsuki.

Similarly, Momoshiki could use Jura's Thorn Soul Bulb to extract his data onto him. This should see the antagonist get resurrected following a very long wait. In addition, he might be able to use the Chakra of both himself and the Ten Tails, turning him into one of the strongest antagonists in the series.
