The episode began with Araragi being transported to heaven. He seemed to have met Acerola’s soul that existed before she became a vampire. While she wasn’t clothed, she put on a mask because her beauty was the cause of all the destruction that led to the fall of various countries.

She realized that Deathtopia wouldn’t consume the blood of a person she didn’t kill. Therefore, she resorted to kissing Araragi, who upon returning to the mortal realm, transferred her saliva to Deathtopia. The shriveled body seemed to be regenerating at a rapid pace.

Araragi, Gaen, the Shrine Goddess, and Shinobu engaged in a spirited discussion. Another body was found that night, eliminating Deathtopia as one of the prime suspects.

They realized that another vampire was impersonating her and that the real criminal needed to be nabbed immediately. Araragi was concerned because the clock was ticking, as failure in nabbing the criminal would result in Ms. Kagenui intervening in the case.

What to expect in Monogatari: Off and Monster episode 12?

Monogatari: Off and Monster episode 12 will be interesting since there are two possibilities. The first would involve Araragi using his ability to piece clues together to nab the real vampire. The second possibility is that the show could introduce Ms. Kagenui who Araragi seems to fear.

Either way, the series will conclude on a massive cliffhanger failing to reveal the vampire or Ms. Kagenui, who can seemingly destroy immortal apparitions in just one shot.
