Recap of Monogatari: Off and Monster episode 3 in brief

The episode started by showing Nadeko Sengoku and Ougi Oshino at the former’s old school. Flirty Nadeko took away Meek Nadeko’s clothes and infiltrated the school. Upon locating her, the real version encountered her clone and had an existential crisis. Her core values were being challenged. But, before things could get too far, she managed to trap her clone with paper as instructed by Yotsugi Ononoki.

Her happiness was short-lived because an old acquaintance informed her about various reports of sighting a young woman without a top roaming the streets of the city. Nadeko was furious since it was the Meek Nadeko clone that was causing trouble at the moment. That’s when she encountered Sodachi and had a heartfelt conversation about her current situation.

Sodachi helped Nadeko understand more about her parents’ perspectives and potential reasons for their stance on her career. The episode ended with Nadeko passing by the house that was occupied by Araragi, the girl Nadeko had trouble with, which resulted in her never going back to school again.

The quest to find Meek Nadeko will resume in the upcoming episode of Monogatari: Off and Monster. However, the latest episode ended with the former passing by Araragi’s house. It was hinted that Nadeko and Araragi had issues, which was the reason why the former never attended school once again. There is a possibility that the show could give us some context with regard to the issue itself.
