A recap of Monogatari: Off and Monster episode 8 in brief
The previous episode continued to focus on the tale of Princess Acerola and how she became a demon. It featured Deathtopia and her underling Tropicalesque’s conversation on how the former could consume Princess Acerola’s flesh. This has been her goal the entire time, and in her pursuit, she managed to die of starvation on numerous accounts. This took a toll on her physical body and she even lost her powers eventually.
After offering various solutions to Princess Acerola, the group decided that it would be best if she was turned into a vampire. At this point, Tropicalesque was killed and he didn’t have the same regenerative powers that Deathtopia did.
Towards the end of the episode, Deathtopia turned Princess Acerola into a vampire. Almost 600 years had passed since and the two were about to reunite.
What to expect in Monogatari: Off and Monster episode 9?
Given that the latest episode ended on a cliffhanger, Monogatari: Off and Monster episode 9 could give fans some insight into the reunion that Deathopia and Acerola were about to have. That being said, Off and Monster could also bring its focus back on the likes of Araragi Tsukihi and Nadeko Sengoku, since viewers are still not aware of the event that led to their fallout. This is an important piece of the puzzle and fans can expect episode 9 to throw some light on this matter.
