Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 271, released on September 29, 2024, marked the end of the series after six years of serialization since March 2018. While the story began with the Jujutsu society being relatively stable and quiet due to Satoru Gojo's exceptional skills as a sorcerer throughout the new age, it ended with the deaths of Kenjaku, Sukuna, and Gojo.
Given that the main drivers of the story, along with characters like Yuki Tsukumo, died at the end, many fans have expressed concern that the Jujutsu society may now be in its worst state ever. This is due to the rampant curse spirits and energy, combined with civil unrest.
However, while this may seem to be the case on the surface, the deaths of these three influential characters have left the jujutsu society, particularly the remaining sorcerers, with a significant advantage against the current threats. This turn of events might have indirectly sparked the golden age of jujutsu.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Gojo and Sukuna's deaths ushered in the Golden Age for sorcery society
The Heian Era was the origin of numerous sorcerers who would have been considered special grade by current standards. Alongside strong sorcerers, the Heian Era also saw the development of innovative techniques like Yorozu's construction, the limitations of which were overcome through studying insects and their biofunctions.
Although the Heian Era was often referred to as the "Golden Age of Jujutsu," the true golden age was primarily in the development of techniques and individual strength. Gojo's immense strength at his birth shifted the balance of the jujutsu world and necessitated the emergence of stronger cursed spirits.
Given the much higher average strength of sorcerers during the Heian Era, it was undoubtedly a time of great conflict, with the jujutsu society experiencing its most turbulent and volatile period, marked by numerous sorcerer deaths.
While the current era was weaker at the beginning of the story, sorcerers like Gojo and Sukuna alone balanced the scales between sorcerers and cursed spirits. Gojo's birth catalyzed the rise of stronger cursed spirits, with disaster curses like Jogo, Hanami, and Mahito being the most notable and troublesome.
Most of these powerful cursed spirits were defeated during the series, and with the conclusive deaths of Gojo and Sukuna, it is certain that no cursed spirit on par with Jogo or stronger will be born again. This, along with the now inflated power levels of the sorcerers involved in the fight against Sukuna, ensures that newer or existing cursed spirits would be no match for them.
The corrupt upper management of the Jujutsu society was disposed of by Gojo, the Zenin clan was massacred by Maki, and the shady New Shadow Style Grandmaster was eliminated by Mei Mei. All of this, combined with the fall of major threats, guarantees that the jujutsu society will now enter a time of peace and tranquility not previously seen in history, marking the true beginning of the Golden Age for the jujutsu society.
