While One Punch Man may seem like a generic superhero manga on the surface, as the plot progresses, one can notice the complexities between the storylines, especially surrounding the concept of limiters and the existence of God. Hence, unlike other manga, it is quite difficult to predict the series' ending.

That's where a One Punch Man manga theory from a fan comes in handy. They believe that the series' manga creator, Yusuke Murata, may have already foreshadowed the ending for the series through the protagonist Saitama's character description. Surprisingly, the theory seems very plausible.

One Punch Man theory unravels the series' ending through Saitama's character description

According to the theory by a One Punch Man fan on Reddit u/Nattyy3D, the manga's ending would see Saitama defeating God with a single punch because the same has been foreshadowed through his character description.

This was first hinted at by what Cosmic Garou said to Saitama. He believed that Saitama was the only person capable of mastering God's powers without taking his hand. This was also seen in how Saitama managed to travel back in time right after he received the power from Garou.

Such an action meant directly defying God. This is also why God took back his powers from Garou as Saitama reversing time had endangered God's already "written" future.

However, if fans were to try and decipher the situation from a "God's" perspective, shouldn't he be able to tell that Saitama was capable of defeating him? Evidently, time travel was one of God's abilities that he passed down to Garou. This ability should have been enough for God to identify Saitama as a threat and avoid fighting him at all costs.

Nevertheless, given the turn of events, it seems very possible that the series' final fight would be between Saitama and God. So, why would God fight Saitama despite having a hint about the result? This is because it must have been Saitama who manifested God.

Ever since Saitama became strong, it has been his biggest dream to find a truly powerful opponent and defeat it with a single blow. This was what the character's description explained about him.

So, as per the theory by u/Nattyy3D, Saitama might be the "True God" in the story, and he must have manifested God to create such a situation that sees him live his biggest dream one day, i.e., to defeat a really strong opponent with a single punch.

This theory also explains why God might be unbeknownst to Saitama's existence and does not directly acknowledge him, as he must be "programmed" in such a way that he does not confront the "True God" until they reach the final stage.

The final fight between Saitama and God might finally see the protagonist realize the truth and finally experience the dream he wishes to fulfill. This could also explain why Saitama lost his hair and had no memories about it, as he must have manifested such developments through his "True God" powers.

In that moment, Saitama could defeat God with a single punch. While he would become the perfect hero in everyone's eyes, he might remember everything as he willed it. With that, the manga could end similar to how it began, as Saitama might rephrase his initial character description in the past tense.

So, in conclusion, the whole point of the One Punch Man manga could be Saitama manifesting everything to satisfy his biggest desire, all while learning what it is like to be human.
