With Hitogami asserting that he would regret going to Begaritt, Rudeus was already tensed and scared, worried that returning home might lead to some bad news. Given that Rudeus had yet to break the news of Paul’s death to his siblings, the emotional stakes were at an all-time high.

As anticipated, Mushoku Tensei season 2 episode 24 was indeed a rollercoaster of emotions, given Aisha and Norn were to learn about their father’s demise. On the other hand, Rudeus was to seek Sylphy’s permission to take Roxy as his second wife.

Elinaise, Talhand, and others decided to stay at an inn to give Rudeus and his family some privacy. Rudeus was overwhelmed with guilt, given he already promised Rudeus to remain loyal to her for the rest of their life.

Breaking his oath made him question his integrity, but he was helpless as he couldn’t let Roxy leave his side either. Norn was immensely upset over Rudeus and even despised Roxy with some harsh words.

Surprisingly, while Roxy was leaving with tears down her cheeks, Sylphy stopped her and unveiled that it was about time for her husband to bring home another woman.

Sylphy was glad that it was Roxy, as Rudeus often talked about her greatness and respected her as the greatest magician he ever acknowledged in his life.

Given how Roxy was staring at Rudeus since they returned to Ranoa, Sylphy observed her and reminisced about the time when she used to look at him the same way when they were not a couple.

This made Sylphy understand Roxy’s feelings even better and she welcomed her and accepted her as the second wife of Rudeus. While Rudeus was sparring with Norn, Roxy learned that Sylphy’s due date for her pregnancy was approaching in a month.

This revelation caused Roxy to delay her marriage plans because she understood the sensitive timing and was still overwhelmed with guilt.

Norn, who was more attached to her, was devastated by learning that he died and her brother couldn’t save him. Unlike Aisha who was stronger when it came to dealing with overwhelming emotions, Norn was just the opposite and she couldn’t stop crying after the heartbreaking news was revealed.

It was also the pain of seeing her mother, who wouldn’t even respond given she lost her memories and ability to speak. Norn was already baffled by the latest revelations and given her age, having control over her emotions like Rudeus, who was an adult now, was incredibly challenging for her.

With everything that was going around, learning that her brother brought another woman for marriage, while his first wife was expecting a baby, was something that didn’t feel right to her.

Given she and others had been taking care of Sylphy all this time and they all faced challenges in his absence, from Norn’s perspective, Rudeus and Roxy were indeed wrong.

However, in the end, Norn had to accept Roxy as her second sister-in-law, given that Sylphy already welcomed her into the family. Roxy also realized that she also married two women, which caused her to understand that it was alright.

Mushoku Tensei season 2 finally introduced the first-born child of Rudeus and Sylphy Greyrat, Lucy. Upon gazing at his child, Rudeus was overwhelmed with emotions and couldn’t stop crying, as he still couldn’t believe that he and Sylphy had become parents at last.

Sylphy was relieved that her daughter didn’t get her green hair, which was one of the reasons she got bullied often during childhood. Rudeus even headed to Paul’s grave to break the grand news, telling him that he was now a grandpa. He thanked his father for saving him as he could now hug her daughter.

Before embarking on the journey to Begaritt, Rudeus feared he might never see his first child. However, Paul’s sacrifice ensured that he could experience fatherhood, for which he would be forever grateful.
