My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 5, titled Dig Up The Dirt, was released on August 4, 2024. The episode saw the last member of the student council, Neko, visit the Deer Club, in hopes of finding Torako's weakness, but she gets tangled up in other stuff. The chapter also revealed the personal life of Nokotan, which was exactly like everyone was imagining, just a bit more 'wild.'
The previous episode introduced the student council, three members of which—Torako, Chiharu, and Kinu showed interest in the Deer Club, whereas Neko was adamant about destroying the club and Torako's reputation. The episode also revealed Nokotan's secret mushroom garden which she was taking care of in the storage room.

My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 5: Torako gets a Love Letter which has a different meaning
My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 5 commenced with Torako getting a love letter in her shoe locker. Fortunately, Nokotan was also rolling by, and she also noticed it and started teasing Torako. Nokotan told her to answer the feelings of whoever sent her the letter, but unfortunately, it was just a challenge from a delinquent of the school.

When Torako went to the challenge sight, Nokotan also accompanied her and tried to show off her fighting skills. The delinquent wanted to take down Torako and take over the school as the new leader.
The fight started and as expected, Torako showed no blindspot and handled everyone on her own. Eventually, she was caught in a deadlock. Nokotan passed her one of her ateliers and considering them useless, Torako threw them on top of the school building. Strangely, the atelier was a dynamite and it blew away the entire building, defeating the delinquent group.
My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 5: Torako spies on Nokotan and discovers her personal life
After the previous incident. My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 5 saw Torako adamant about finding a weakness of Nokotan to embarrass her once. She started tailing her and followed her to a park.
Nokotan, out of nowhere, pulled out a banana from one of her ateliers and started munching on it, confusing Torako. After eating bananas from both of her ateliers, she stood up and headed towards a public place where deers were placed.
She sat alongside another deer and acted as a deer for a couple that was visiting the place. The couple seemed interested in the deers and Nokotan asked them to buy deer crackers to interact with the deers. The couple bought one tuft and tried feeding to one of the deers, but Nokotan jumped onto them and gobbled all of the crackers.
The couple was surprised and ran away. Nokotan then exited the building with a hoard of deer and ventured through the streets, attracting the attention of the bystanders. Nokotan eventually saw Torako and ran towards her. Torako asked her if she had money, as she was feeding off other's money. She showed Torako an absurd amount of money, after which they had bubble tea and returned home.
My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 5: Neko visits the Deer Club for information but regrets everything after meeting Nokotan
My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 5 then shifted to Neko, who was adamant about finding a weakness or two about Torako to throw her down from the position of Student Council President.
She tried sneaking into the club through the window, but to her despair, Nokotan caught her and forced her inside the clubroom. Nokotan presumed that Neko wanted to join the club, but she rudely declined her. Nokotan started crying, upon which Neko decided to stay a bit longer.
My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 5 then saw Nokotan instructing Neko about how to become a perfect deer, even though she wasn't a member of the club yet. Bashame and Anko also arrived and sat beside them. Nokotan showed Neko a tuft of deer crackers and she showed confusion.
Nokotan reprimanded Neko for her ignorance, as a true deer would instantly eat these crackers if offered. After training her for a while, Nokotan let her go and rewarded her by giving Neko her ateliers, as Nokotan saw a true deer potential in her. Neko became emotional and was on her way home but she soon realized that she accomplished nothing today.
