My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 6 was released on August 7, 2024, the same day as it was released on the online website ABEMA. The new broadcast day was announced on the same day as the release of My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 6. The episode featured 18 short stories at the start, and Nokotan sneaked into the Student Council to introduce a mysterious creature.

The previous episode was centered around Torako discovering Nokotan's personal life. The second half of the episode focused on Neko's visit to the Deer Club in hopes of finding some weakness in Torako, but she encountered Nokotan, and her plan was ruined.

My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 6: The short stories featuring the Deer Club

My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 6 was titled The Summer Deer Festival which commenced with a bunch of short stories. The short stories featured Nokotan showing her psychic skills, making coffee by pouring coffee powder into her head, selling her antler to arrange the student council budget, and most importantly, starting the Deer Club's merchandise.

The merchandise consisted of Nokotan's recurring dialogues and her antlers which became popular as soon as they were released. Moreover, for the fans, the merchandise's opening day featured a 90% off on all items that were already ridiculously priced.

The last few short stories featured the Student Council member Chaharu buying the merchandise. She gifted one to Kinu who felt happy after receiving them. Looking at them enjoying themselves, Neko also ordered every item from the Deer Club.

My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 6: The molting season of Nokotan arrives

After the short stories, My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 6 commenced the episode where the summer season started and the students shifted to wearing their summer outfits. On the other hand, in the Deer Club, Nokotan had developed some kind of white spots on her body.

As told by Bashame, this could be a disease called the rice blasts where the stems of rice plants get white spots. This was an alarming situation for Nokotan and she decided to leave the clubroom and left everything in the hands of Torako. As she was about to leave the room, Tsunoda (a deer) arrived and everyone noticed white spots on him too, which were an indication of his molting.

The molting season had arrived and Nokotan, like every deer, was molting. Nokotan started playing with her molted fur and gave one of it to Bashame who wore it and got the feeling of what Nokotan feels like every day.

My Deer Friend Nokotan episode 6 then focused on the Student Council where Neko was betrayed by her fellow members who intended to destroy the Deer Club but Chiharu and Kinu no longer had any intentions to do so. While addressing the student council, Nokotan popped out of nowhere and surprised Neko.

She brought a strange round creature that had protruding antlers. Nokotan claimed that it was a tsuchinoko (a snake-like yokai). Nokotan claimed that she pulled it from underground but Neko was not ready to admit that it was actually a yokai.

The next debate was what this creature would eat. Nokotan was heartbroken after the creature denied eating deer crackers. In the end, Kinu offered it chalk which it happily started eating. Watching the creature eat, Neko thought of it as cute and pledged to protect it from that point onwards.
