In the first season, the narrative focused on Miyo Saimori's journey from being the Saimori Household's daughter to her engagement with the Kudo family's Kyoka Kudo and the subsequent hardships and trials she experienced.

The narrative revealed how Miyo endured a difficult life after her mother's passing, especially because she lacked Supernatural abilities. Instead of love and affection, Miyo received only neglect and abuse from her own father, stepmother, and stepsister.

Miyo's life in the Saimori household dented her self-esteem. Eventually, she was expelled from her household when a marriage proposal from the Kudo family arrived. Although Kiyoka Kudo, Miyo's fiance, was rumored to be rude and tyrannical, he was actually affectionate.

Miyo's life changed completely upon entering the Kudo household, where she received love and affection from her fiance, Kudo, his older sister, Hazuki, and the household's veteran servant, Yurie.

Additionally, the season showed how Miyo reconnected to her maternal family (Usuba family), who helped her recover and control her Supernatural ability, Dream-Sight. In the season finale, Miyo used her Dream-Sight powers to save Kiyoka Kudo's life when he fell victim to a Grotesquerie attack orchestrated by Mikado, the Emperor.

Season 1 ended with Miyo getting an apology from Prince Takaihito who plans to hold his father, the Emperor, responsible for his actions. Hazuki's son Asahi envies Miyo for spending too much time with his mother. Arata comes forward with a proposal to become Miyo's bodyguard before Kiyoka leaves for work.
