Miyo doesn't retaliate but rather accepts Fuyu's wish. Elsewhere, Kiyoka Kudo investigates the case surrounding the Demon-shaped Grotesqueries. He realizes there's no folklore on such demons, so he speculates it must be related to something else. After a while, he meets a neighbor and learns about the location of the run-down mansion the shopkeeper told him the other day.
On the other hand, Miyo impresses the other maids and staff with her excellent cleaning work. Fuyu, who thought Miyo would give up and run away, is astonished to see her grit and determination. She tries to put Miyo into further misery and mentions how she doesn't think she's good enough for the Kudo family.
Although Miyo acknowledges her words, she knows that Kiyoka needs her. Miyo's response infuriates Fuyu Kudo, and she tries to hit her. Just then, Tadakiyo Kudo intervenes. He apologizes to Miyo Saimori on his wife's behalf. Meanwhile, Nae and others realize why Kiyoka has chosen Miyo as his fiance.

Miyo observed that nobody in the Kudo family has a clouded look on their face, and it's all thanks to Kiyoka's mother. Additionally, Miyo urges Kiyoka to keep watching over her until she gives up. Later, Miyo enters Fuyu's room. Fuyu Kudo seems distressed by the events of the other day. Later, as Miyo tries to talk to Fuyu about her strained relationship with Kiyoka, she is enraged and shuns Miyo.
During breakfast, Tadakiyo apologizes to Miyo again and mentions how everything is partly his fault. According to Tadakiyo, his wife used to be the perfect lady. However, she had to renounce being a sweet wife to shoulder the responsibility as a prominent Kudo family member.
However, Tadakiyo knows how much Kiyoka needs Miyo, and he's sure his wife must have also realized it. Miyo also realizes that Kiyoka and his mother are more similar than she thought. Just then, they hear a commotion outside. A man appears with his mother to inform Kiyoka how a Demon has devoured his friends.
The man says he was trying to chase the outsider with his friends when suddenly a demon appeared and attacked them. While narrating the events, the man loses consciousness. Kiyoka heads out to investigate the scene and tells Miyo to stay home while Tadakiyo proceeds to strengthen the barrier around the building.
As for Miyo, she feels she should save the man using her Dream-sight powers. She also reveals the truth about her Usuba bloodline to Kiyoka's mother. Miyo also tells Fuyu that she's prepared to sacrifice her life for Kiyoka if it means she can be useful to him.
Miyo then demonstrates her Dream-Sight ability. However, as she dives into the man's consciousness, she hears a familiar voice pulling her back. The episode ends with Arata Usuba arriving at the Kudo household.
