My Hero Academia chapter 430 recently came out and there have been several discussions regarding the series' discussion, including the decision author Kohei Horikoshi made to give the protagonist Izuku "Deku" Midoriya a special suit because he lost his powers. This has been dubbed "Iron Deku," and there are several anime characters who could defeat him.

It is worth pointing out that the My Hero Academia ending didn't give Iron Deku any feats or measures of his strength. Therefore, this list is going to be focused on characters who could defeat a version of Izuku similar to the one of the final war arc, although without the Quirks of past One For All users.

10 anime characters who can defeat My Hero Academia's Iron Deku

1. Giorno Giovanna with Gold Experience Requiem (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

There are few power-ups in anime as notorious as the one Giorno Giovanna got in the fifth part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Golden Wind. Once he got the Requiem Arrow while fighting Diavolo at the end of the story, his Stand turned into Gold Experience Requiem, and gained one of the most powerful abilities in the entirety of the anime medium.

This Requiem Arrow gave Giorno the possibility of denying any ability and attack, thus making him strong enough to control reality to some degree. He was capable of punishing Diavolo with an endless amount of deaths, so that means that, based on defense and attack, he is a lot more powerful than Iron Deku and any other version of Izuku.

2. End of series Naruto (Naruto)

Most anime fans agree that Naruto reached the status of a God by the end of the original series, based on him being the resurrection of Asura and gaining a power-up by the Sage of Six Paths. His Sage Mode training and the mastery of his Kurama powers also make him one of the most powerful characters of his own series.

Therefore, when taking all of these elements into consideration, he would defeat the My Hero Academia protagonist without much difficulty. It is quite clear and there is a strong argument to be made that the strongest version of Deku wouldn't have much of a chance, either.

3. End of series Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach)

The Bleach protagonist always had a lot of different sources for his powers, as was shown throughout the manga, but there is no denying that he reached the peak of his powers in the final arc, the Thousand-Year Blood War. That was in full display during his battle with Yhwach where he used his strongest form, the Horn of Salvation.

This transformation allows Ichigo to make full use of his Hollow powers and combine them with his Shinigami ones, which was completely displayed when he shot a Gran Rey Cero at the Quincy King. When considering that his power could keep up with a version of Yhwach who absorbed the Soul King, a being who was manipulating reality, it is fair to say that the My Hero Academia protagonist wouldn't be able to defeat the Bleach one.

4. Gear 5 Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)

Luffy reached a notorious plateau during his final fight with Kaido in the Wano arc, activating Gear 5 for the first time, which was his Devil Fruit awakening. It was revealed here that he had the Devil Fruit of the Sun God Nika, which is a power that can alter reality, often depicted as cartoon abilities.

Regardless of the comedic angle of this power-up, there is no denying that no My Hero Academia character would stand a chance against him, and that includes Iron Deku. He doesn't have any real ability to compete with this version of the Straw Hats captain, which is something worth taking into account.

5. Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Satoru Gojo is one of the most popular anime characters in recent years and that is due to his exploits in Jujutsu Kaisen because of his raw strength and abilities. He was born with the Six Eyes, which allows him to see Cursed Energy, and also developed mastery of every area of Jujutsu, making him one of the two most powerful characters in the entire story.

While Iron Deku would be among the strongest characters in My Hero Academia, there is no denying that Satoru Gojo would defeat him with no major problems. The use of techniques such as his Domain Expansion or Hollow Purple would also be enough to defeat Izuku.

6. Isaac Netero (Hunter X Hunter)

Isaac Netero is a master of Nen in Hunter X Hunter and spent decades improving his abilities, becoming one of the strongest Hunters in the entirety of the series. That came in full display during his battle with Meruem during the Chimera Ant arc, and even if he lost, he still managed to give a fight that no other character would have accomplished at the time.

His most powerful attack, the 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva, would overpower the My Hero Academia protagonist and make quick work of him. If Netero can keep up to a degree against someone like Meruem, who is a genetically superior entity, then he wouldn't have much of a problem against Iron Deku.

7. Goku (Dragon Ball)

The Dragon Ball protagonist is always compared to most anime main characters because of his iconic status and fighting skills. In that regard, the vast majority of Goku versions could defeat Iron Deku without any difficulty and that is also due to the former's series and its power scale.

Goku also has much better training than the My Hero Academia protagonist, and has fought and won against characters who can destroy entire planets. That alone is enough reason to put him as the winner in this discussion and would also defeat Izuku with a lot of ease.

8. Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star)

Fist of the North has a high power scale and that is shown through Kenshiro's fighting abilities. He has had to face people who have conquered entire lands and whose attacks can destroy cities, which was evidenced during the protagonist's clash with Raoh, for example.

While Deku has shown similar feats in My Hero Academia, Kenshiro has better fighting abilities and can block attacks and copy others. As the heir of Hokuto Shinken, he has also proven to be able to destroy a lot of strong fighters with one touch, which is enough evidence of his strength.

9. End of series Yusuke Urameshi (Yu Yu Hakusho)

The power scale of Yu Yu Hakusho skyrocketed during the end of the Chapter Black arc and the Three Kings took it to a whole new level. In that regard, Yusuke Urameshi was trained in that final arc by one of three Demon Kings, Raizen, and reached a completely new level.

Yusuke's demon heritage also plays a huge role as to why he would demolish the My Hero Academia protagonist, plus the fact he has superior fighting skills. Furthermore, Yusuke also has a lot more street smarts when it comes to combat, as was shown during his battle with Shinobu Sensui.

10. Adam (Record of Ragnarok)

There are few human characters in Record of Ragnarok who could be stronger than Adam, the father of humanity, and even many of the gods who participated would have lost. His Eyes of the Lord allow him to read and copy any attack from his opponent to perfection, which means that My Hero Academia's Deku wouldn't stand a chance.

Adam also has natural superhuman strength because he was birthed as a mirror of the gods. Therefore, he has capabilities that can rival actual deities, as shown during his battle in the series against Zeus, making this fight all the more uneven for the My Hero Academia protagonist.

Final thoughts

The My Hero Academia ending has been quite controversial because of several decisions author Kohei Horikoshi made, including the Iron Deku portion of the story. In that regard, these are some of the most prominent characters who could defeat him without any major problems.
