My Hero Academia anime season 7, episode 18, was released on September 21, 2024, and primarily focused on All For One's one-sided assault on the heroes. Although many heroes faced defeat at the hands of All For One in this episode, the interaction between Hawks and AFO was inarguably one of Hawks' most emotional and impactful scenes.
Hawks and Tokoyami's mentor-student relationship has been integral to their characters and fandoms. The next episode will hopefully adapt chapter 286 and feature Hawks' last interaction with Tokoyami before the final battle.

My Hero Academia anime: Tokoyami and Hawks's most tragic scene to be animated soon
Hawks and Tokoyami's mentor-student relationship began during the Hero Agency Internships, marking the debut of Hawks. Since then, their onscreen interactions have been limited, and Hawks' reputation has been the subject of significant controversy in the manga and among the fanbase.
However, Hawks has essentially assumed the role of Tokoyami's guardian in the story. Tokoyami's quirk was one of the most intriguing aspects of the earlier arcs, though his fighting ability wasn't fully fleshed out. Hawks took Tokoyami under his wing, which helped both him and Dark Shadow to grow. This eventually made Tokoyami one of the greatest allies of the heroes, alongside Deku, Aizawa, and Monoma.
Most of Tokoyami's current and most prominent abilities, including his ability to manifest and control Dark Shadow away from his body and his proficiency in close-quarters combat through using Dark Shadow as an exoskeleton, are direct results of his training with Hawks.
Hawks' flight inspires Tokoyami's ability to fly using Dark Shadow. Although the exact motivation behind Hawks taking Tokoyami under his wing hasn't been revealed, their relationship has evolved into more of a father-son bond. This is demonstrated in My Hero Academia anime season 7, episode 18, where Hawks and Mineta manage to prevent Tokoyami's quirk from being stolen by AFO despite Hawks losing his Fierce Wings.
Keigo Takami is arguably one of the most layered and underused characters in the series despite the significant screen time he has received. Episode 19 will mark one of his last appearances in the anime for the foreseeable future.
Final thoughts
My Hero Academia anime season 7, episode 19, will be released on September 28, 2024, and will adapt All For One's rush toward incarnating a version of himself within Shigaraki's body. While the Armored All Might vs. AFO fight might be adapted in the last few episodes, the final battle against AFO might be released as a final season or in multiple movies.
