My Hero Academia chapter 405 spoilers and raw scans: Edgeshot survives
As per the spoilers of My Hero Academia chapter 405, the upcoming manga chapter will be titled Final Boss. The manga chapter opened with All Might speaking to Nighteye. Nighteye confirmed that the death he had foreseen was the one All Might just escaped with Bakugo's help. Therefore, the former No. 1 Hero had managed to twist fate and keep his promise to Deku.
Upon hearing this, All Might smiled as he stated that it was a mentor's role to sacrifice themselves and let their disciples take care of the rest. However, Nighteye corrected him by saying that it was just a comic book archetype, and there was no need for heroes to die.
My Hero Academia chapter 405 then focused on Bakugo and All Might as both of them landed on top of a building. The manga then shifted its focus to the people who recognized Bakugo from their encounter earlier. Two of these people were Mahoro and Katsuma from the My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising movie.
Upon landing, All Might asked Bakugo if he was okay. However, Bakugo asked the question back to All Might. Just then, the former spat out some blood and a tiny Edgeshot. Immediately after coming out, Edgeshot revealed that he made Bakugo spit out some blood that had accumulated inside his body.
While Edgeshot did use his body to mend Bakugo's broken bones and injured organs, it wasn't him that brought the young hero back. It was Bakugo's own quirk that had kickstarted his life inside him again through an explosion.
That said, Edgeshot warned Bakugo that he was set to feel continuous excruciating pain, which wasn't ideal for fighting. Bakugo knew that and thanked his senior for allowing him to continue living.
Soon after, Bakugo shifted his focus to the fight as he attacked the glowing child, guessing that he was AFO. All Might confirmed that the child was AFO and asked Bakugo to come closer. He gave the latter his support item gauntlet, calling it Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight. Bakugo smiled when he heard this and equipped the support item.
My Hero Academia chapter 405 spoilers then saw AFO looking at Bakugo but he soon realized that his priority was to transfer the copy of his quirk to Tomura. However, anger soon started to take over him as he remembered every hero he faced. Just as AFO thought that the wind should be blowing his way, Bakugo appeared next to him, declaring himself the villain's final boss.
Right after, Bakugo unleashed a giant explosion right at AFO's face. This reminded All For One of the second OFA user. Meanwhile, Bakugo stated that he was there to step in if Deku couldn't handle it all on his own.
