With My Hero Academia manga's final battle over, the series has been recurringly following the country's recovery as the government and higher officials have been trying to fix everything that was destroyed. This includes clean up and reconstruction of building structures that were destroyed amidst the war.

However, not all damage during the war was physical. Many people were left unable to trust heroes to protect them. Fortunately, following Deku's win against Shigaraki Tomura and All For One, the citizens had finally begun regaining their trust in heroes. This trust was accompanied by admiration as the citizens cultivated a better mindset while trying to replicate Deku's actions in the war.

One could say Deku's actions in the war had a much bigger impact on society than the former No.1 Hero All Might.

My Hero Academia: How did Deku cultivate a better society than All Might?

All Might was one of the greatest heroes in society but he did not share the same perspective on villains as Izuku Midoriya. While he empathized with the villains upon learning about their past, he never thought of them as redeemable and believed it was best for him to defeat his enemies as soon as possible no matter how strong or weak.

That wasn't the case for Deku as he wished to help villains deal with their inner conflicts and bring them back on the right track. Despite Shigaraki Tomura being one of the most dreadful villains in history, after seeing a vision of young Tenko Shimura crying, Deku wished to help the All For One user. Even All Might tried to stop him from making this decision but Deku stayed adamant about saving the crying child within Shigaraki.

This perspective donned by Deku is what makes him different from the heroes in the previous generation. He not only wishes to protect the innocent but also erase the malice within the villains.

This was also seen during the final battle against All For One as Deku, despite his injuries, refused to stay back and do nothing. Instead, he ran towards All For One, hoping to defeat him with help from everyone. Fortunately, he defeated the villain bringing peace back to society.

That incident was stuck with society as they too wished to do whatever they could to help others. This was also evident in My Hero Academia chapter 429. The last time the old lady met Tenko Shimura, she left him alone thinking that some hero would come to his aid. But after witnessing Deku fight All For One, the old lady no longer wished to sit back. Instead, upon seeing the troubled mysterious child on the street, she reached out to him, hoping to help.

Therefore, Deku's personality and actions might have cultivated a better attitude within the society than Toshinori Yagi did during his time as All Might.
