My Hero Academia chapter 429 spoilers have been released and have several exciting elements for fans to look forward to. The epilogue has been rather thorough so far, but there is one thing that the fanbase has been looking forward to years - a confession involving the feelings of Uraraka Ochako and Izuku Midoriya.

It’s always been clear to fans that the two characters have liked each other for quite some time. While it might not have been explicitly mentioned, there is tension that lingers in the air whenever the duo are on screen.

The previous chapter ended with Uraraka trying to make her peace with Himiko’s death. Midoriya had entered the scene and the fanbase anticipated a confession. However, this wasn’t the case and netizens were thoroughly disappointed.

Disclaimer: This article contains massive spoilers from the manga chapters. The article also contains spoilers from chapter 429 which hasn’t been released at the time of writing.

My Hero Academia chapter 429 spoilers did not feature a confession

Uraraka Ochaco was all by herself, crying profusely on the hill as she thought about Himiko’s death. It was at this point that Deku arrived and attempted to comfort her. Given how the scene was set, fans expected a confession scene. However, that topic wasn’t part of the conversation and much of it revolved around Ochaco’s thoughts on Himiko and how her death was the reason why Uraraka was alive.

While fans are still hopeful about the confession, the majority of the community has given up on seeing this potential relationship become canon in the series. There were mixed reactions from netizens, plenty of whom hope that Kohei Horikoshi will make this relationship canon before he concludes the epilogue of the series.

How fans reacted to chapter 429 not having a confession scene

"URARAKA TALKING ABOUT TOGA AND DEKU TALKING ABOUT TENKO WHILE HOLDING HANDS AND NO IZUOCHA CONFESSION OR KISS", said one fan
"I don’t think i’ve ever seen bakugo hug deku BUT HES GONNA LOCK IN NEXT CHAPTER BRO", said another fan
"Iacan definitely see it being the final scene", said one netizen

It's quite clear that there is mild disappointment among fans. However, the entire fanbase is quite hopeful that Kohei Horikoshi will provide the fanbase with a confession. This has been a relationship that the entire fanbase has unanimously loved. The epilogue will certainly feel unfinished if their relationship doesn't progress now that the war has ended.

"no confession", said one fan
"As much as I’d want it, I doubt a confession is coming.", said another
"crazy how Hori could've easily added Uraraka's confession right here after this beautiful revelation by deku ,BUT F****NG CLASS A HAS TO INTERRUPT , I HATE ALL OF THEM", said one netizen

As stated earlier, the scene was set for the confession to take place, but the conversation was interrupted by Class A. The two were having a moment, and the interruption was timed perfectly. Netizens were quite angry with the manga author for how he ended chapter 429 of My Hero Academia.
