Following the release of My Hero Academia chapter 429, the manga series is soon set to release its final chapter. While many fans may be happy with the series' conclusion and might be waiting for the final chapter's release, fans should be worried about the ending for a good reason.

The manga's previous chapter saw Ochako reveal Himiko Toga's fate as she blamed herself for her death. As for Deku, he too, had been thinking about ways through which Tenko Shimura could have survived. Additionally, the manga saw the old lady from Tenko's past reach out to a troubled child, possibly ending his pain.

Kohei Horikoshi may have failed to give a satisfying conclusion to My Hero Academia

While many fans loved how manga creator Kohei Horikoshi dealt with Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka in chapter 426, not all fans were left satisfied as they wished to witness the two characters have a confession scene. The manga did imply that the two had gotten closer but gave fans nothing concrete. Hence, for fans who had been waiting for such a development, the events seemed drastically downplayed.

Nevertheless, the seemingly incomplete romance plot between Deku and Ochako is easily one of the least worrying developments in the manga. This is because several other plot points needed more focus.

Firstly, the manga experienced a fast ending. While the manga creator allotted five epilogue chapters to narrate the series' ending, it wasn't enough as the manga focused on some characters a bit too much and failed to address the ending for several side characters.

Many characters' stories were left rushed and unexplored. As seen in the epilogue chapters, while the mysterious boy's past was revealed, there were next to no illustrations for it as the entire flashback was narrated. This was a clear sign that the manga creator did not care for the character and simply introduced him as a plot device to conclude Ochako and Deku's story.

The manga's ending also saw Himiko Toga get killed off. While the final two-thirds portion of the manga was majorly pushing a redemption agenda for the villains, both Tenko Shimura and Himiko Toga passed away. These developments left fans confused over why the manga suggested possible redemptions if the characters themselves were to be killed off.

The only major antagonist that did survive in the end was Dabi. However, that was one death that should have likely taken place as Toya Todoroki was in no condition to move or remotely redeem himself.

Even if fans were to be left satisfied with all the developments in the manga's conclusion, one unexplored plot point should enrage fans, i.e., the reveal of Deku's father. Manga creator Kohei Horikoshi stated years ago that Deku's father would be revealed in the future. However, no such developments have taken place in the manga till now, leaving fans with little hope for the same to happen in the series's final chapter.
