My Hero Academia final chapter was recently leaked, leading to conversations regarding the story's conclusion. One major part of that discussion was how Deku and Uraraka's relationship was not confirmed. While many people were annoyed and disappointed by that decision, there was a couple who got a happy ending: Gentle Criminal and La Brava.

These two characters appeared during the School Festival arc, and their relationship endeared to many people within the fandom, which is why they were so happy to see them married during the My Hero Academia final chapter. There is also the fact that this relationship was strongly established, and their conclusion made a lot of sense.

My Hero Academia final chapter had an eight-year time-skip that showed what happened to the characters during this frame and what they are doing in the present day. It was revealed that La Brava formed a successful company. He was seen spending time with Gentle Criminal, and they both wore wedding rings.

The majority of the fandom has been quite pleased with this revelation since they were one of the few confirmed characters with romantic feelings for each other. Author Kohei Horikoshi had previously confirmed that a couple was getting together in this chapter, and most people assumed it would be Deku and Uraraka. However, that proved not to be the case.

While it is understandable to want to see Deku and Uraraka together since it was one of the most coveted ships in the fandom, that shouldn't detract from how La Brava and Gentle Criminal's conclusion in the My Hero Academia final chapter makes a lot of sense. They were given a second chance in the final war arc and took it with both hands to pay for their mistakes, although it is fair to say that they were never evil people, to begin with.

Many people were happy that La Brava and Gentle Criminal got married in the My Hero Academia final chapter because they are a good example of what tragic antagonists can be. They were never truly evil and only dealt with a bad hand in life, which resulted in Gentle Criminal's channel getting notoriety online.

La Brava dealt with bullying and rejection, while Gentle Criminal dealt with failure and broken dreams, making their union feel much more compelling. Furthermore, Deku tried to help them, and they paid him back during the final war arc, thanks to La Brava's computer hacking abilities and Gentle's Quirk to keep the school floating as they were dealing with Tomura Shigaraki.

Final thoughts

Most fans were happy that La Brava and Gentle Criminal got together in the My Hero Academia final chapter, even if they weren't Deku and Uraraka. While fans are obviously disappointed by other ships not becoming canon, this is a relationship that made a lot of sense and is a satisfying conclusion for them.
