My Hero Academia final season has been the fandom's main point of discussion ever since the ending of season 7, as well as the conclusion of the manga with chapter 431. Although the final season was announced alongside the last episode of season 7, its actual release window stayed unclear.

While the actual story and action choreography of the series have been satisfying for the fans, the rushed production issues plaguing the series and its previous seasons have been longstanding source of grievances within the fandom.

In a recent announcement, it was stated that My Hero Academia final season will be released in Fall 2025. Although an actual release date is yet to be announced, just the confirmation that the final season will have ample time to be properly animated has become a point of discussion within the fandom..

My Hero Academia final season to finally receive a regular production cycle

My Hero Academia final season will be releasing during the Fall 2025 anime season, which begins in October 2025 and will end in early January 2026. An actual release date is yet to be announced, and the Fall 2025 release window remains tentative.

The anime started airing on April 3, 2016, and soon became one of the most popular series on the planet. It is considered one of the new generation series that pushed anime into mainstream popularity.

While the studio behind the anime, Studio Bones, is well known and has a huge repertoire of memorable anime projects under its name, a few seasons and many key events of the series have seen a dramatic dip in quality.

While the exact reasons behind these dips remain unknown, they are mostly accepted as the result of a faulty production schedule or insufficient production time.

The announcement of the final season for a Fall 2025 release simply allows the studio to follow a regular 12-month production cycle, as season 7 ended in October 2024.

Fan reactions to the announcement

Many fans have taken to social media to express their collective sigh of relief at the possibility that My Hero Academia final season will not be the victim of faulty scheduling. They are hopeful that the series might be able to achieve its full visual potential.

"Full year of production for 11-13 episodes we won," One fan said.
"Mha finally has a regular production cycle," Another fan said.

A few fans wondered how the episodes might reach the fidelity and animation level of the My Hero Academia movies. This discussion gained traction, especially since an entire year will be available for the production of around 12–13 episodes.

Other fans simply mentioned how much of an impact the "You Say Run" soundtrack will have during the series' finale.

"Sh**s gonna look like the movies for 13 episodes 😭😭😭😭." One fan wrote.
"That orchestral version of you say run finna hit like cr*ck in the 80s." Another fan wrote.

My Hero Academia final season will start adapting the manga from chapter 399, as season 7 ended on chapter 398.

The exact episode count has not been mentioned. However, given that there are only 32 chapters left, the final season might just be a 12-episode season.
