My Hero Academia chapter 430 is set to be released on August 5, 2024, but the spoilers for the chapter have already been unveiled. The chapter will mark the end of the series. The spoilers showcased the heroes in their practical lives. While the majority of students didn't divert from their paths and became well-known heroes, the protagonist's fate was a bit heartbreaking.

Deku became a teacher after the events of the previous arc and despite the series going into a time skip of 8 years, he kept doing the same thing, which was pretty sad considering how he was the headliner behind the victory against the villains during the final war. After the war, while everyone continued their journey as heroes, Deku had to divert from his path as a hero.

My Hero Academia chapter 430 commenced with Izuku Midoriya writing something in his diary regarding his journey as a hero when he was young. The chapter then progressed into a scene where Izuku was a teacher and Kota asked him about where their next lecture would be.

The chapter then progressed into an 8-year time skip and after the time skip, Izuku was still a teacher at the U.A. High School. On the other hand, things were different for other students. Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki were competing for the top spot in the Hero Society and the former was currently the number 1 hero.

Shouji was awarded accolades for his services in the fight against heteromorphs. Uraraka, Iida, Momo, and Tsuyu visited every school for counseling as a part of Uraraka's Quirk Counselling Expansion Project. Although nothing much was revealed regarding the other students, they could also be involved in some hero projects of their own.

In all this, Deku was the only one who couldn't continue his journey as a hero. The reason behind this could either be due to his quirk, of which a only few embers were left, or his inspiration to never let any student doubt themselves about not becoming a hero as he was able to do so without any quirk.

After the chapter concluded, All Might gave Izuku a new hero suit that was based on the former Symbol of Peace's fight against All for One during the final war. Unfortunately, this makes Deku's tale even sadder as he spent 8 or more years of his life without a quirk, and continuing his journey after such a long time could be hard.

Final thoughts

Deku's ending in the series was something the fans weren't expecting. The series could be considered his narration starting from the first chapter where he claimed to the the greatest hero and ended up becoming the greatest one due to his services during the final war.

What the fans wanted to see was Deku continue his journey as the same hero he was during the final war arc. Yes, he got a new hero suit just like All Might did when he didn't have One for All but it would be embarrassing for a hero to rely on technology when he used to be a shining star on his own. Deku should have continued his journey with OFA alone and retired as one of history's greatest heroes.
