Himiko Toga is one of the most versatile and dangerous villains in My Hero Academia. Not only is her quirk one of the most formidable weapons, but it reached new heights after its awakening. But the question some fans ask is if she could be of the same caliber if she were a hero from the start of the series.

Toga's quirk is similar to Monoma from Class 1-B as she can copy other people's quirks in her awakened form but for only those she considers close to her heart. But she can also transform into the exact replica of others if she drinks their blood. So, she could turn out as a decent spy hero, similar to what Hawks was.

My Hero Academia: Exploring Toga's potential if she was a hero

Himiko Toga was part of Tomura Shigaraki's League of Villains and later became one of the lieutenants of the Paranormal Liberation Front. She has a sadistic personality, which is evident from her interest in boys who have a messy lifestyle.

Her quirk is Transform, which allows her to transform into anyone. The only way for her to transform into someone is through ingesting their blood, which she showcased numerous times in the series.

During the Forest Training Camp arc of My Hero Academia, Toga pinned down Uraraka and stole some of her blood. And during the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc of My Hero Academia, she used her blood to mimic her and tried to make Deku lose. However, as the hero was wary of her, he evaded her approach in time.

During the Meta Liberation Army arc against Mr Curious, Toga awakened her quirk and could now copy the quirk abilities of people she ingested the blood of. She used Uraraka's quirk abilities to overpower Mr Curious and won the fight. However, her awakened quirk can only copy the abilities of people close to her heart, like Uraraka (Gravity quirk) and Twice (Sad Man's Parade).

With a versatile and diverse quirk, Himiko Toga could fit perfectly in the hero society and be a contender for the top 3 heroes. But what type of hero could she be if this scenario was possible at the start of the series?

Toga could be a spy or assassin hero. Toga could be a hero who specialized in assassinating villains, similar to the Hero Killer, Stain. Although it doesn't match Toga's personality to fight for others, she could just be a hero who fought against villains without publicly appearing.

Toga could also be a spy hero, similar to Hawks. As Hawks was just a spy from another association, Toga could be a full-time spy assigned to get information about the villain from different sources. Her quirk would allow her to blend well with the villains.

Moreover, her skills in Tantōjutsu, the skill of wielding a knife and using it in battle, would also fit her description as a spy/assassin hero. So, she could have been ideal for the Hero Society of My Hero Academia because the latter doesn't have any hero like her, and she would have been appreciated if she had been a part of the Hero Society.
