My Hero Academia chapter 430, released on August 5, 2024, marked the series' finale. While the fandom was sentimental over their favorite series ending after ten years, some were angry over the 'unsatisfying' ending, which featured Deku as a teacher. In contrast, the other students from his class continued their journey as heroes.

To analyze this ending in its true sense, the start of the series gives the true meaning behind this. From the start of the series, Izuku Midoriya was more interested in the hero code more than becoming one. He was a boy interested in analyzing the abilities of others, and this was what he became at the end of the series, making him a Symbol of Peace quite different from All Might.

My Hero Academia chapter 430 commenced with an 8-year time skip, which showcased Izuku Midoriya as a teacher at U.A. High School. On the other hand, his rivals like Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki were competing for the #1 hero position.

Other students like Uraraka and Tentacole continued offering their services as heroes. So, the fandom started complaining about the author not giving Izuku a proper ending in the series. However, things could be different than what meets the eye.

Since a very young age, Izuku Midoriya has been obsessed with heroes. He always carried around 3-4 notebooks with information about almost every hero he witnessed.

In his notebooks, he would write about the nature of each hero's quirk, including their weakness and what technique they could use to overpower their opponents. The most information he had collected was for the Symbol of Peace, All Might, a hero the protagonist admired.

So, Deku could have made a better strategist instead of a hero. This was evident from his meeting with Dai, where the student claimed he couldn't do much with his useless quirk, which was throwing plates from his head. Izuku immediately started brainstorming and said that he could be similar to Mineta and that Dai should work on strengthening this quirk through training.

This could also make Izuku Midoriya the new Symbol of Peace, but it would be different from All Might. All Might symbolizes the figure villains need to be scared of before they dare to hurt some civilians. He was also the first to introduce this term and change the hero society.

Deku would also be a Symbol of Peace but not someone who would actively take part in fighting as he would act as the strategist. He would judge which quirks have a better affinity for working together and how to place heroes in different positions that would make them utilize their abilities to the maximum.

This would be different from what All Might did, but with Izuku's past services during the final war and other problems, he could be as much of a hero as All Might because the people believed in him and knew him through his services.
