Titled Extras, My Hero Academia season 7 episode 9 began with the news of Shoto Todoroki's victory against Dabi being relayed to all other battle points. It proved to be a huge encouragement as the Heroes started to fight back harder. Back at the base, the news worked as a relief to All Might as well.

The episode then switched to the Jaku Hospital Ruins, where the Heroes seemed to have caught the Villains by surprise with their sheer number. However, the Villains nor the Heros backed down from the fight. Their role was to guard the Gigantomachia Containment Facility and they did just that.

On the other hand, other battles were raging on at the Takoba National Stadium, the U.A. Sky Coffin, and the Temporary Fortress "Troy". Moving to the front of Central Hospital, either side's mutants were going toe to toe. The Villains, led by an enhanced Spinner, were giving the Heroes a tough fight.

The real fight was, however, underway at the Gunga Mountain Villa, as Endeavor received news of his son's victory. Paired with Hawks, he was facing All For One (AFO) and had come up with one objective - target AFO's mask, which was keeping him alive at the moment.

AFO attempted to provoke Endeavor using his family's situation and he managed to succeed, mentioning Endeavor not finding Touya's body following the Sekoto Peak incident. Thus, he landed a serious blow on the Flame Hero and was about to blow Hawks away, but Tokoyami and Jiro swooped into the rescue.

Realizing her inability to fly, AFO targeted Jiro but was promptly interrupted by Hawks, who was working hard to distract AFO. The episode ended with AFO trapping Hawks and launching a sudden burst of energy, managing to catch Jiro and Tokoyami thus injuring them.

What to expect from My Hero Academia season 7 episode 10?

Episode 9 covered chapters 353, 354, and half of 355 of the manga. So far, Studio Bones has done a stellar job kicking off this series' Final War Arc. While there is a lot to cover, this pacing has been great, allowing each important moment to be highlighted sufficiently well.

My Hero Academia season 7 episode 10 will witness Jiro, Tokoyami, and Hawks steel their wills and fight against AFO. The detestable Villain for sure will have some kind of counter up his sleeve. Moreover, with Endeavor's injuries not serious, he will jump back into the battle to assist his comrades.

My Hero Academia will be on break next week and thus episode 10 is expected to drop on July 10, 2024.
