Lemillion prepares Deku for the big fight
In My Hero Academia season 7 episode 13, Deku is on his way from Okuto Island to the Coffin in the Sky above U.A. when the First User warns him about All For One, whose Quirks have been growing stronger. Deku receives help from the American air fleet, as by using Blackwhip to latch onto their crafts, he reaches his destination faster.
Upon arriving at the battlefield, Deku strikes All For One, who immediately notices that Deku has become more powerful. As Deku begins to apologize for being late, he is overwhelmed by the sight of battered heroes lying around him, realizing that it is the consequence of his delay.
All For One sees an opportunity in this, knowing that anger makes Deku's movements simple and predictable. However, Lemillion steps in to placate Deku, showing him that everyone is still alive and has not given up. Despite All For One viewing this positivity as escapism, Lemillion quotes All Might, who said that heroes risk their lives to turn ideals into reality.
Deku calms down and channels his anger, preparing to face All For One. Before engaging, he asks if Shigaraki is still present within All For One and learns that the two have not fully merged into a new being. He learns from Lemillion that provoking All For One makes him unstable and prone to outbursts.
The battle begins between Deku and All For One
In My Hero Academia season 7 episode 13, as All For One charges toward Deku, Deku counters by using a combination of Blackwhip and Fa Jin, creating a boosted binding combo called Blackchain. This allows him to thrash All For One around. At this moment, the Second User informs Deku that they have only five minutes to end the battle using his Quirk. If they fail to defeat All For One within this period, it could lead to disastrous consequences.
Deku then reveals a new move called Transmission, which allows him to appear beneath All For One in an instant. He proceeds to pummel him with Second Gear, Third Gear, and the final blow with Top Gear. As All For One is launched into the air, he struggles to keep up with Deku’s incredible speed who is using the Quirk: Gearshift. Deku has been altering the speed of his targets, now operating at 120 percent, and follows up with a Detroit Smash.
It becomes evident in My Hero Academia season 7 episode 13 that Gearshift has evolved alongside One For All. The immense power stored within One For All, when combined with Gearshift, has the potential to alter the way the world works.
Deku then delivers a Detroit Smash: Quintuple, but All For One notices that the attack is not as powerful as expected and attempts to counter Deku’s next move. However, Deku creates a smokescreen, pops up, and binds All For One with Blackwhip. Using the stored-up Fa Jin, Deku activates Gearshift: Overdrive and strikes, leaving a gaping hole in the center of All For One’s body.
At this moment in My Hero Academia season 7 episode 13, All For One sees Yoichi, who had previously told him that today might be the day everything ends. Yoichi acknowledges that Lemillion’s analysis was correct—the fusion between All For One and Shigaraki has been disrupted.
But All For One appears frustrated that due to Aizawa’s interference, he has been prevented from using his Quirks. Despite this setback, All For One regenerates his body, determined not to concede defeat easily.
Meanwhile, the Second User reminds Deku of his conversation with Shimura, where they discussed the possibility that someone who appears irredeemable and still seeks salvation might only be stopped by taking their life.
