Titled A Chain of Events, Across the Ages, the episode began with a recollection of the happenings at all battle fronts. The episode then proceeded to show how Izuku Midoriya aka Deku managed to reach his destination quicker - the American fighter jets formed a path through which Deku sped through using Blackwhip. It was enough for him to reach Shigaraki in time and land a resounding SMASH.

Togata's uncanny distraction was enough for Deku to make an entrance. The sight of the devastation Shigaraki caused his comrades threw the green-haired boy into a burning rage. But Togata was quick to calm his friend down, stating that their comrades were still breathing and everything would eventually be okay.

As it stands, All For One (AFO) and Shigaraki had melded together, but the former being alive longer allowed him to exert control over Shigaraki's body. Togata noted that an insensitive remark from him earlier caused Shigaraki to peek out from the inside, meaning he was yet alive in there somewhere.

Enraged, Shigaraki/AFO leapt at Deku with murderous intent. The former was ready, countering with Blackchain (a combination of Blackwhipe with Fajin). The Villain stood his ground and just as he thought he was in control, Deku unleashed the Second User's Transmission, gut-punching Shigaraki/AFO with Second Gear, Third Gear, and Top Gear in quick succession.

With the Villain launched into the air, Deku appeared behind him, loading up a Gearshift: Overdrive before letting loose a huge Detroit Smash. As he plummeted to the ground, Shigaraki/AFO caught a glimpse of One For All's (OFA) First and Second Users. The narrator then explain Gearshift - originally working on small objects, the sheer power of OFA allowed it work on a cellular level and even "change the way the world works!"

With the Villain unsure of what to do, Deku used each of OFA's powers one by one to set up an attack he put everything into. With all the stored-up power, he managed to break through Shigaraki's defense, exposing what was within the Villain - AFO resonating with OFA and vice versa. Deku was now at an impossible situation - how to save someone who was seeking help but was irredeemable. The episode ended with the sight of a giant Spinner, AFO's last resort at winning.

So far, the majority of the focus has been on Shigaraki and AFO. With Deku being separated from his allotted battle area, it created temporary confusion. But with him back where he should be, things seem to be turning around for the Heroes. My Hero Academia season 7 episode 14 will shift focus elsewhere now.

Keeping Shigaraki and AFO on the sidelines for a little while, My Hero Academia season 7 episode 14 will shine the spotlight on Spinner and the mutants. Tasked with getting Kurogiri back, the giant Villain, followed by angry and roused mutants will give the Heroes defending Kurogiri a hard time. This will also be a time for Mezo Shoji to shine.
