A brief recap of My Hero Academia season 7 episode 16
The episode began with all the chaos orchestrated by Himiko Toga who used Twice’s Quirk to create an infinite number of clones. This proved to be quite overwhelming for the likes of Hawks and Endeavor, who already lost an arm. Furthermore, he had to keep an eye on Toya who was wreaking havoc with his Quirk, and the latter lunged at the pro hero seeking to fight him to the death.
Following that, the focus of the episode shifted to the U.A. which was sinking. Mr. Skeptic used his hacking skills to shut down all systems forcing the large fortress to collapse. Despite the likes of Momo Yaoyorozu being on board, there wasn’t much that was being done to stop it from crashing. However, La Brava’s intervention not only leaked Mr. Skeptic’s location but also shut his systems down completely. She also wrote new programs on the fly in an attempt to restore the fortress’ powers.
Finally, Gentle’s Quirk came in handy when he used all of his might to push the falling fortress back into the air, and the restored power kicked in. Just when Shigaraki was about to use his Decay Quirk on the ground, Kaina Tsutsumi sniped his hand from afar, which bought Deku enough time to repose and get back into the fight.
What to expect in My Hero Academia season 7 episode 17 (speculative)
My Hero Academia season 7 episode 17 will most likely focus on Tomura Shigaraki and Deku. Kaina’s help was perfectly timed as Shiagaraki’s move would have undone everything that La Brava and Gentle had done up until now.
Furthermore, one of the One For All vestiges pointed out that Shiagaraki was having a tough time fusing with All For One which was why he was vulnerable in that state. The upcoming episode could shine some light on that matter and give fans an update on how Shigaraki’s body is coping at the time being.
