My Hero Academia season 7 episode 18 was released on September 21, 2024. The chapter saw the heroes fall into despair as All for One finally started taking the situation seriously. However, Studio Bones continued delivering in animation and choreography aspects, with hardly any noticeable improvisation in the episode.

As far as the spotlight of the episode goes, it was around All for One, who was getting younger by the passing minute, and Gigantomachia, who could have changed the tide of the battle but not as everyone thought. Moreover, after Dabi, it seems that the production team is giving the young All for One some extra treatment of aesthetic character designs.

My Hero Academia season 7 episode 18, titled It's a Small World, adapts the remaining chapter 382, chapters 283-84, and nearly the entire chapter 385. The episode began with Toga's identity crisis, where she was questioning her existence and why she couldn't copy anyone else's quirk other than Uraraka and Twice.

The chapter then shifted to the main battlefield against All for One, where Tokoyami's Dark Shadow was holding the villain down. However, the demon lord pushed everyone aside and started running towards TomurAFO. While he was running, he saw Gigantomachia running towards him. As he was considering this his win, Gigantimachia attacked him out of nowhere.

My Hero Academia season 7 episode 18 revealed that Gigantomachia was being controlled by Shinso's quirk. However, even though he was being controlled by someone else, his emotions were in a mess, due to which he was rampaging on his own will.

The spotlight of the episode was how Gigantomachia was made over his master as All for One left him after taking him under his wing. This played well with the narrative of the final war because All for One's allies turning against him helped the heroes. This could also be considered a good payback for the sins of the antagonist.

With Tokoyami's Dark Shadow, Mt. Lady's quirk, and Gigantomachia's mentally affected state on the heroes' side, these three combined their quirks and pushed the demon lord down. However, as the minutes passed by, Eri's quirk did wonders and made the villain even younger, which also amplified his quirk, which gravely injured Gigantomachia and Mt Lady.

Tokoyami's Dark Shadow was also destroyed, and after this, All for One stole Hawks' quirk, as the Pro Hero tried to save Tokoyami. Moreover, All for One berated the Pro hero for being a failure, as he considered himself a sacrifice for others, whereas he got his quirk stolen, and this would lead to others getting killed.

My Hero Academia season 7 episode 18 ended with Hawks hoping that someone would come to save them. The last scene of the episode was a reminder of the days of All Might when the Symbol of Peace would rush towards anyone's help who was in danger.

Another spotlight of My Hero Academia season 7 episode 18 was All for One's character design, which gave off a glowy shine, which could be due to his age going backwards. This could be the studio giving him the spotlight in the final war, as the last time he was in the limelight was during season 3 when he fought against All Might.
