The episode began with Froppy deducing that Toga could only emulate the Quirks of those she truly loved, like Ochaco. Hence, she was able to become Twice and use his ability, rather than AFO or Dabi. At the Gunga Villa Site, Tokoyami and Dark Shadow were keeping AFO busy, pummelling him into the ground to hold him down

Simultaneously, the other Heroes were doing their best to support the pair. But AFO was growing stronger and younger, pushing back hard so he could reach Shigaraki. Suddenly, Gigantomachia burst through a nearby mountain, hurling a huge piece of ground at AFO. Atop the monster were Kirishima and Shinso. It was soon revealed that Machia was awoken through a high frequency wave that mimicked AFO's voice.

Shinso was on standby for this very moment, to brainwash Machia but had gotten captured by another Villain. With Machia easily brushing off Mt. Lady and about to land the final blow, Ashido unleashed a highly concentrated and thick stream of acid on the giant, burning through his defenses and thus halting his attack. Next, she jumped in and saved Shinso as well. This translated into him mimicking AFO's voice and bringing the beast under control finally.

Back at Gunga, the Heroes were throwing everything they had at a young AFO, including boldly using Machia to attack his master. AFO seemed to figure out the state of affairs and began to attack those atop Machia. But that's when things a surprising turn, Machia began to talk back to AFO. He was extremely upset that AFO had abandoned him after initially taking him in and caring for him. His distress grew to rage as he charged at the Villain alongside the Heroes.

Close to the airspace near the U.A. Sky Coffin, 2 lone helicopters seemed to heading to the scene of war. These two reporters had personal gripe with the Villains and despite the world casting aside Japan, they wanted to shine the spotlight on those who hadn't given up. For that, they were prepared to even risk death.

The episode drew to a close with a disturbing sequence of events - being attacked from all sides, AFO unleashed a huge explosion, blowing back everyone. One by one, he dispatched attackers, Machia, Mt. Lady, Tokoyami, Dark Shadow, Hawks and others. When the smoke cleared, he had Hawks in a chokehold, stealing his Fierce Wings Quirk.
