My Hero Academia season 7 episode 8 was released on June 23, 2024. The episode improvised the fights, as usual, but didn't add much anime-original content and stuck to the source material as much as possible.

The episode saw the battle of the Todoroki brothers, Toya and Shoto. The episode also revisited Dabi's origins revealing how the seed of malice, against his father, grew inside him. The episode ended with the climax of the fight, with Shoto having the upper hand.

As most of the episode focused on the fight between Dabi and Shoto, the use of colors was crucial for it to become a memorable episode. As expected from Bones studio, the fight was beautiful and the music of the episode was also one of the best ones in the franchise.

My Hero Academia season 7 episode 8 was titled Two Flashfires and adapted the chapters 350-352. The episode commenced with a revisit to Dabi's origins, but this time, it was after the incident where Dabi burnt himself in the forest fire. He was saved by All for One and after being hospitalized, he went into a coma for three years, staying at a facility owned by the villain.

After waking up, he asked others to let him return to his house where his parents would be worried about his appearance. But the villain forbade him from doing so, saying that his face had changed and his family would never recognize him. Dabi went berserk and left the facility.

He then entered his house where things were the same. He saw Endeavor training Shoto while beating him. He then buried his identity as Toya Todoroki and was reborn as the villain Dabi. This flashback was animated exactly like the manga chapters.

Before the fight commenced, Dabi burned his entire body and became something hardly recognizable. He then mocked Shoto and their father, Endeavor. The villain also explained that after he buried his old identity, all the limits that kept his body intact were removed and his quirk's maximum unlocked.

At this point, an anime-original visual showed Dabi's flame turning from red to blue. He then backed up and used a new Flashfire Fist which was different from Endeavors, titled Flashfire Fist: Hell Spider. This technique was improvised in the anime and was combined with visuals that made the move look real.

This move was a distraction to move Shoto's friends away from him so that the villain could attack his brother. He then jumped onto Shoto and started hitting him while calling him a failure. Dabi then hit him with Jetburn which sent Todoroki flying into a building.

But Todoroki had packed a punch, another version of the Flashfire Fist. The episode then ran through a flashback where Shoto revealed his strategy against Dabi to Midoriya. He combined both his quirks, Freeze and Fire, and combined them in a perfect symphony.

Shoto then jumped forward from the building and hit Dabi with his technique, Flashfire Fist: Phosphor. He combined his Flashfire Fist with the technique Icebound Crash: Coldflame's Pale Blade. Both of these techniques were improvised to make them look as realistic as possible.

After getting hit by Shoto's attacks, Dabi went berserk and made his flames even hotter, becoming something that looked like a monster. But Shoto's friends gave him cover so that he could focus energy on his last technique. My Hero Academia season 7 episode 8 then went into a flashback, adding some scenes from past seasons.

Shoto then launched forward and hit Dabi in the stomach with a new move, Great Glacial Aegir. After hitting the villain, Dabi was rendered motionless as Shoto begged him to stop. This was the spotlight of My Hero Academia season 7 episode 8 and the most hard-hitting factor about this scene was its music, which was a soft melody. As per the fans, this OST was one of the best ones in the series yet.
